I know it may sound strange but I think Lexington can beat North Davidson. I realize they have not played the schedule North has , but they are a very good football team in every way.......Offense is very very good. Defense is swarming , Db's have a D1 prospect. I know North are the Big boys and 4A against a 2A , but do not overlook this bunch this year........Might be 33-24 ND but it might be 33-24 Lexington....Hope I'm Right when I say goooooooooooooooooooo Jackets......it's your turn.

2010 Lexington vs North Davidson 26-19
2011 Lexington vs North Davidson 27-20
2012 Lexington vs North Davidson 52-7
2013 Lexington vs North Davidson 49-0
2014 Lexington vs North Davidson 48-20

I got it...North is loaded...They will win, Right............We will see...Don't count those Jackets out...They will come to play...I promise you......

I give North Davidson the edge with the kicking game. It always helps when you have a kicker, especially in high school, that can kick 47 yard field goals.

Wow , What a weapon that is......It very well could come down to that. I have seen Lexington a couple of times but have not had a chance to see their kicker except for PAT's.......It should be a heck of a game. Lexington has a ton of skilled people that are talented and fast..... Their defense plays team tackle.....I am sure ND is very good also. They beat a good Asheboro team on the road last week. It would be a very big deal for the Jackets. May be their year, or not..................

During the first 2 games of the season the kicker for ND had scored 20 points and during the second game hit 2 FG from 40+ yards. I am sure there is not a high school in the area that wouldn't like to have a kicker with such accuracy.

I haven't seen Lexington this year, heard a lot of good things though, but until somebody beats north they rule Davidson county.. 40-20 ND

Tried a 53yd one game and had distance but wide right

More times than not special teams play a huge factor in any football game.

I think Lexington makes this one tough on the Black Knights. I saw North play Ledford and thought they were a solid team, but not world beaters, especially not at the 4A level. I give North the nod by 10 pts.

Look, Lexington has not even come close to playing the type of team they will see in North Davidson. Lexington has beaten two terrible teams in Wheatmore and Central Davidson and a rebuilding team in Randelman. Lexington will bring about 30 players to Welcome on Friday (and I bet their best will play both ways) against an ND team with about 70. That makes a HUGE difference. Can Lexington get to the North QB, because if they can't he will light them up. Can the Jackets stop North RB (and West Virginia commit) Kennedy McKoy, because nobody has yet. How big are the Yellow Jacket DB's, because North usually runs 4 to 5 wide and two of their receivers are around 6'4/6'5" tall. They have two other receivers that look like linebackers. The kicking game for North is outstanding. If they get to their opponents 35 yard line they have a very good chance of getting 3 points.

Where this game will favor the Knights greatly is in the "depth" department. Where the Jackets may have to keep guys out there for a long time, the Knights can substitute freely. I am in no way saying the Yellow Jackets have no chance to win this game, because every Friday night you have to suit up and play ball and ANYTHING can happen. However North Davidson is better than ANY of the three teams combined that Lexington has played so far.

No doubt ND is the better team and it may be a blowout. I just wanted to say that after watching Lex play , I for one was very impressed. They really do have very good team and I think if things went just right it could be very interesting. I am not going looking for a Jacket win , but I will not be surprised at all if they play the Knights down to the wire....I think if the Jackets get off to a good start it will interesting , if not look out for a blowout.......That's why they play the game.........

Will be pulling for the Knights but very happy that Lexington is turning things around. Much respect for Coach Henderson and AD Ronnie Beverly.

Lexington always has the athletes to match up with North, but they don't have the depth. So if Lex jumps on North early, it could be interesting. If North jumps on Lex, it's already over.

Damn. They walked the dog on Lexington. I was an idiot for thinking it would be close. Should have paid attention to who Lexington has beat this far.

The same will be said for North during the playoffs when they face a real 4A powerhouse team.

Yeah... but North is one of the smallest 4A schools in the state. So quite frankly, our school competing for conference championships year after year is pretty impressive. West Forsyth, on the other hand, has over 2000 students and doesn't win it as often as they probably should.

Congrats on the Jackets beating SW Randolph on Friday. Maddox I think you said you have someone playing for Lexington. By the schedule they have byes 2 weeks in a row. Is this correct or has schedule not been updated?

It is my understanding they are open this Friday and next.......But you might check it out a little more as I am a Randleman man and we just had back to back open dates , now we play this Friday and next Wednesday of all days and I could be confused.......
