A big thank you to Time Warner Cable for putting on a great show today. It was a great way to start off the 2015 season with this historical matchup.

Kannapolis to a an early 7-0 lead on a TD pass from QB Johnson to WR Washington. Concord took advantage of a Wonder miscue and tied the game at 7-7 on QB Black 1-yard TD run. Concord had a chance to take a 10-7 lead into halftime but the short FG was missed.

The Wonders would take a 14-7 lead in the 3rd qtr on Johnson's second TD pass to Washington of the night. Concord countered the Wonder score with Black's 2nd TD run. After 2 Wonder penalties on the PAT attempt, the Spiders went for it on 2. Black punched it in to give the Spiders a 15-14 lead.

The fourth quarter became the Jalen Cagle show as he ran for 2 big TDs runs and had a huge punt return that set up the final Wonder TD. Cagle's touchdowns made the margin 26-15 in favor of the Wonders.

Kannapolis reclaimed the Victory Bell after a 3-year absence.

Huge crowd last night! Everyone I talked to prior to the game said there would not be a good crowd because of the TV coverage.

Great to see two storied programs get some air time to start the season. Congrats to the Wonders from your friends at HP Andrews
