Jacksonville vs New Bern

Should be a good one. NB has multiple D1 guys on the DL that are wreaking havoc in opposing backfields and has been solid on the backend as they've had 4-5 interceptions the last 2 weeks against really good QB's. On offense, their QB is really good at reading defenses as he'll check into something else depending on what he's seeing. #1 and #24 are dynamite in the backfield, #1 just received a D1 offer from ECU this past week. We will have our hands full with the mobile QB from Jacksonville and they're always well-coached led by my man, Beau. Should be a good one in J-action-ville.
Well from what I saw in person of the Bears. My Cards have to play a complete game in all phases just to keep it respectable. Now we matchup size wise. The trenches will be key in this one. The Card are trapp block specialist. They have played against a couple of D1 line prospects and made them guess all game and it turned out good. However multiple guys I don’t know how that will turn out. But here is what I do know. The Cards are well conditioned and their big boys can operate at a fast pace for 4qts. Defense they are solid. Offensively they go 3 RB deep. All got speed then there is the 225lb freshman man child running the ball. Size and power. Got a feeling they been trying to preserve that big body till it counts. That big fella brings some pain when he runs the ball and has made many defensive backs make some smart business decisions when trying to tackle him. Got 6’4 super athletic Jones kid at receiver who wins those 50/50 balls. Sharpiro kid in the slot is a nightmare after he catches the ball. Then there is Mr Benton. Kid is a problem. Bigger faster version then his brother but can sling it also. It will be interesting. Don’t think the Bears will do the same number as they did to the Rams but it can be possible. Remember even back in the Mike Hughes days Jacksonville did play the tough. Can’t see a blowout but Jacksonville will have to be special to pull this one off.

NB with 3 turnovers tonight, 1 inside the Jville 2-3 yard line. Just sloppy all around with ball security and fundamentals. Hoping they learn from this game that they have to show up to play each Friday.

Guys been reading those press clippings on the ole social media. Good game, but the D got a good chewing out during halftime and have been more disciplined with gap control here in the second half.

Hats off to the Cards! We came back from 21-7 to go up 28-21 and only needed one stop on a 4th and 13 and the Cardinals converted and ending up scoring and got the 2 pt conversation. Wake up call for my Bears! Gotta come ready to play each Friday!

I honestly ain’t surprised new bern played 3 great teams in a row I know y’all dominated us but that was just perfect execution then to turn around and Have to play Jacksonville who is also a great team
NB bear that is not for you are all the other non-believers that said we will be lucky to win this year. Without question Newbern bears will probably represent the US because they are a great football team. But I sure hope non-believers in the cards just believe for one nightmare
3 turnovers and one being in the Jville 2-3 but I'll give Beau and the Cards credit, no doubt. Probably needed a little snap back to reality for the kids. Lotta season left, congrats. Go Bears!

Hell man we can’t looktgat far ahead to y’all. Hell we are supposed to get run off the field by JH Rose. So we have to worry about Tuesday night. We are underdogs in that one also.

Honestly I didn’t give us a chance in this one. Not after what I witnessed the Bears do to Havelock with my own eyes. Just maybe we earned a little respect tonight. Probably not but maybe.

I just watched the game on Nfhs Jacksonville looks real good a lot like havelock last year loaded and talented on both sides of the ball big and fast I feel like yeah new bern had turnovers but Jacksonville did also new berns just hurt worst because of where that one happen in the red zone but that first one in the first half that was just a great sack strip offensive line didn’t even bother blocking the d end and he got to the qb fast that last drive was crazy converted two 4th downs to win the game I feel like Jacksonville just wanted it more they have athletes all over the field I would like to see them pass more but doesn’t seem to need to with that big offensive line and big running back and those two speeders they got back there with the qb and other running back
