The world lost another great guy today, I promise you 99%of the time Dlee was talking junk to people up here, it was just to try and get the convo and the boards jump started! If you really really knew him like his friends and family(and the many kids from SW and others schools in this county he helped out), you would know what kind of a great guy he really was!! Thanks to all that took the time out to pray for him. I ask now that you please pray for his family in this difficult time!!

Yes sir. I am.

Ninja loved his Stallions. He will still be watching on Friday nights I’m sure. God bless.

An NC Preps legend indeed...so sorry to hear this,he's in a better place now,the fight is over he's wearing a crown...thoughts and prayers for all involved...

Sad news. Always enjoyed seeing him up here stirring the pot because he sure did love some SWO football and loved even more talking about it on the boards. Prayers to his entire family and to the whole SWO community.

Greatest trash talker in high school sports. Phil Padgett made the culture, Dlee told the story as only he could. long night with a heavy heart!

Legendofthegame and dlee42/thelastninja R.I.P!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely heartbroken! RIP! Over the years we have went at it. But it was all in fun. He was a Stallion super fan for sure! Stallion fans there should be something on that field or that school with his name on for the dedication he has had to SWO! Prayers to his family! These boards will never be the same without you my man.

R.I.P to a Solid dude and one whom I consider a brother!!! The SWO community sure lost a Good STALLION!!!! #onceaStallioTALLIONalwaysaSTALLION!!!

Good Bye David Lee. Never without an opinion or fail to post it. Unsurpassed ability to predict football games. Never beat in the JDN polls every week. I know a lot of people formed an opinion from what he posted without knowing or even meeting him. May the Stallions play this year with the dedication and fever he displayed, both as a Former Player and supporter. Win it ALL for him as he gave his all for them.

Drive For Five in Honor of David Lee.
GO STALLIONS

Did anyone without SWO or Stallion in their name ever meet this guy in person?

I did. He was really a good guy and full of energy. He sold my football books in his tire stores in Jacksonville area. I met him in Raleigh and talked for 30 mins about football.

I texted with him off and on to find out things in that area. He last text to me was this back on July 7th:

He asked how I was since I lost both parents in 2018.

“I’m good jus have to see doctor in Greenville tomorrow I’m already up here so I hope that goes good I lost both my parent in 2016.”

I met him a few times. He had a few tire shops in Onslow County. Very entertaining guy. Gave me a discount as a friend of a friend. Asked me where i went to school and bam....instant high school football conversation. Dude knew more about my Old teammates then I did. Hadn't seen him in years after that. He did local picks in the paper and was usually right on it.

Prayers for the family. We lost a good one. Always enjoyed reading his thought and they were always SOMETHING.... :D Even being Totally across the state and never meeting him you kinda felt like you knew him. So sad indeed

His passing was mentioned on the WCTI 12 Sportscast tonight. It will be replayed at 11 tonight.

Prayers for his family, friends, and the SWO community. I never got to meet him, but I knew he was a passionate SWO fan and a high school football fanatic on this site. Many times, he would ruffle so many people’s feathers on here, but it was all in good fun. RIP

Ahhh man Death is always such an unwelcome visitor. May the Lord give you peace during this difficult time.

I wish I would have known about the tire shops. I would have stopped by and meet him when I was down there. So sad.

First time I met him was 2010 at State Championship game. He was very welcoming and was pulling for WRH orange and black. He was kinda intimidating physically and with the dreads ,but was very nice to us dogs. Stallion4life posted some pics of him with a dogs shirt and hat with his kids. I think he was a closet Bulldog.

Allot of us Stallions we're about to see allot of WRH football this year. Our last conversation was about going to the Wake Forest game. Dlee was getting ready to talk some real trash when that game rolled around.
