Eventhough we are in the same bracket as Shelby, East Gaston really landed in favorable position (too maybe win a playoff game or 2).

yeah but its easy to catch them slipping. They don't get up for most games, and they come in over confident all the time.
2019….a shootout with North Surry…was our last playoff win.
It was 2019 1st Rd versus North Surry.
Coach Byrne started at Maiden in 2016. Here is his playoff record:
--2016 1st round loss at Home versus Mt Pleasant
--2017 1st round loss at Home versus Fred T Foard (we were undefeated in regular season)
--2018 1st round loss Away versus East Rutherford
--2019 1st round win at Home versus North Surry
--2019 2nd round loss Away versus Shelby
--2020 1st round loss at Home versus Salisbury (we were undefeated in regular season)
1-5 playoff record since 2016.
Just get me to the 3rd round at least. Give us a chance for retribution against Salisbury.

So Burns is looking at Hendo in the second round....they lost to powerhouse SC Daniel, blew out Chase and RS played them close. Interesting ... IMO a very winable game for the Dogs.

I'll say we've had at least 2nd round talent for sure. Our coaches absolutely stink at game planning unfamiliar opponents. This is our coaches 3rd undefeated regular season...I know Catawba and Lincoln counties aren't the cream of the football crop in WNC, but 1st round losses are unacceptable at Maiden.
