I can't wait til Friday. You have a son playing, I can't imagine how long this week will drag for you. I hope your son enjoys the ride because not many kids get to experience the success that he has and played in these type games.

New Bern is now 31-1 at home in the playoffs since 1999. This is their 8th East Finals appearance since 2002. New Bern is 7-3 against Hoggard dating back to 2001. Bobby Curlings is 20-6 in the playoffs with two state championships.

New Bern is averaging 36 points a game while giving up 7 a game.

Hoggard is averaging 36 points a game while giving up 8 a game.

Common opponents-

New Bern 44 Laney 6
Hoggard 35 Laney 13

New Bern 49 South Central 14
Hoggard 49 South Central 21

NB home playoff record is very impressive. I am an optimist so I will take the perspective that NB is due to lose.

I think the Bears will shut down Hoggards rushing attack for the most part and their front 4 will turn up the pressure on their QB enough to force him to make bad throws. Hughes and the other seniors will have a big night at Caruso-Coates in their last game in the Bern. 28-3 Bears.
Bears!

Is that with a mini Hughes or full grown?

You are being generous with that prediction.

lol..I don't think so. Just trying to pump myself up.

If you get any more pumped up you aren't going to make it to Friday. The Vikes will have to have their A+ game friday. If they do I think you guys will be impressed. I think a big key in this game will be turnovers. NB has 23 int (5 returned for TD) and 18 fumbler rec. That's 41 turnovers in 13 games, that's impressive. They also have 4 TD from KO and punt returns. Hoggard will have to take care of the ball and no give up special team plays. Our starting QB has 0 int and 0 fumbles on the year and Thompson has 2 lost fumbles on the year. Also, Hoggard will need to not give up the big plays. They did that last week against SC. Even when they score the Vikes made them drive down the field. Should be fun.

If Hoggard gets the same set of zebras they had last week then they have got a shot , if not then NB will have a good night .

I know and they got a strong dose of Mike Hughes , he was so fast the zebras couldn't keep up , now you know the Scots got HOSED

No, we know that Scotland would've been embarrassed too.

Not likely they would have gave NB a better game than haggard their speed up match up better , and they play better D.

Lockray, We will never know because your Scots lost 24-21 Would Scotland played NB closer, possibly because matchups in HS football are key and Scots may have matchup up better but IMO still would have lost by 20+. And why are Scots even brought up in a Hoggard-New Bern thread....must be a scot-tard thing.

No it's my thing and I call it like it is , New Bern did what Scotland would have did if the zebras would have stayed out of it and let the kids play, and if you call 12 to 1 in penalty fare then you my friend are blind.
