Hobbton and East Surry both need a game 6

I'm not sure, but doubt a 4A would want to play a 1A. Do not mean that as any disrespect toward ES.
East Surry would take a good crowd to High Point. East Surry played Asheville in early 2000 and has been scrimmaging Lincolnton since 2007. Don't know if East would have the talent to compete against Ragsdale two years in a row. This sounds a little like Wake Forest not wanting to play Appalachian.
That's true East played Asheville in '03 and '04 when they were in a down period after Chris Griggs and Co left.
One admirable thing about Coach Diamont is that he is a risk taker. The year after I graduated they had that murderer's row non conference schedule of West Iredell (back when they were still decent,) Starmount ,West Mont, and Newton Conover. It bit them hard that first year and they never recovered but in 2012 they were decent. I think the talent level they have coming up in 2017-2020 is bette than those two years so who knows.
Ragsdale might not be the answer but I see them playing a tough team and not regretting it later on.

Yes it should bareman. The Cardinals non-conference schedule is now set for 2017 and 2018.

East Surry and East Wilkes is going to be a bloody awesome series. Shame it's not later in the year so I can go watch.

don't think so...basically the same from what I've been told....tried to get good gate games
Same with us pretty much. Only local team we lost was Ashe but we made that week for endowment. The conference slate stinks because I liked having 6 non conference games but you can't help that. Just gotta make the most of it.

To be honest I don't mind it. Since we are in a tough conference we need the prep for it and North Forsyth and Parkland will help us do that. I have always wanted to see Deaton Reynolds so I can knock that one off the bucket list. North Forsyth is the endowment game. It was between them and Hobbton for that, Parkland was just open for Week 4. I admire our tenacity to play the big boys.
