I'm looking at East Bladen 5-5, and have some concern for my own SWE. EB started 0-3, but that was against top notched opponents that could make anyone 0-3. In their 5-2 run since then, the two teams that beat them only have 2 losses each. So, I dont know if EB is what their record is or not.
No offense to my friends in Elizabethtown but not even close to the usual teams they produce im sure they have improved a bit since August but...if SWE is everything i have read up here you win no problem
I was hoping Morehead would have been placed with Shelby so I could have made some bad jokes all week.
Anything is possible. We were a 15 seed in '12 and went to #2 East Duplin and silenced their crowd with a victory.
Anyone who has to play wrh as a 10 seed better be on hi alert. I'm not comfortable with them at that low of a seeding.
I heard swe was overhyped from a friend of mine that lives in Greenville!! He said there defense is good against the pass but suspect against the run, note I know nothing of swe at all only stating from a friend of mine that saw them play tarboro and couldn’t stop the run at all said
I agree. That's a fake seed. Wake Forest and Havelock? They don't even count. To me, WRH has only 2 earned losses. I'm sure as heck am not happy to see them in our second round bracket.
Ask your buddy if he knows of any other team that can stop Tarboro's rushing? I'll wait.
All we do is face running teams, and you see the points allowed total. Your friend is really judging SWE based on their game against Tarboro? The #1 team in the state in their class? Holding them to their lowest offensive production of the season? Our only loss? The 4th game of the year? Dude. Tell your friend to kick rocks and keep up with that Rose squad that has never had any pass or run defense since their current coach has been there. One thing is for sure... SWE can beat anybody in Pity County. No, that's not a typo.

In 2a east I think everybody holds serve the first round. The second round would have SWE vs WRH and NE vs SWO. That's a tuff bracket.
Nor are we happy to possibly be playing the winner of you two considering we win lol.
LMAO! SWE has one of the strongest run defenses in this bracket. That includes any combination of WRH or Clinton you want to use. With a 6'4 304lb Mr. Powell in the middle of that D it doesnt give much room for 3 yards and a pile of dust. Lol. If the rest of the bracket feels they can't stop the run they will find out the truth soon enough.

I wouldnt pencil in SWO so fast. Ayden Grifton has some athletes and size to match. Coach Cornwell I believe actually has a group of kids this year that can win. Their losses came when they were not healthy.
Nobody talks about AG at all! They have a decent program over there. Not team, but program. Meaning they win consistently. For the most part, you can count on around 7 or 8 wins for the Chargers in any given season. They even made it to the 'ship in this decade. But they never get any love anywhere. I'd be interested in seeing them make a run. I don't think it's likely, but I wouldn't be shocked if they beat SWO.
I agree, they have made the playoffs like what? 39 times in a row or something crazy like that...coach Cornwell and his team are as hungry and tough as anyone in this bracket.

I can’t speak for much out of my area, but in the mountains I’m worried about my own Pisgah team with Bunker Hill. 7 vs 10 game wouldn’t be a huge upset but I think it’ll be a great game.
SM got a hard draw in my opinion with SP. SM is solid but if SP loads the box (I assume they will) and forces SM to pass they are in a bad way.

Brevard draws Hendersonville who they played two weeks ago I hate drawing a conference foe in round 1. Brevard should win as they did two weeks ago by a TD but don’t be surprised if it’s not a dog fight and Hendo does have the athletes to pull it off

First off its 304lbs. Second, anyone that has seen Tarboro this year knows their QB will beat your best athlete to the edge. Your DE is not going to beat him to the edge. The best you can hope for is that your CB has the awareness to identify who has the ball and gets to the edge in a hurry. That's not the reason Tarboro won though. Their speed on defense is unmatched from anyone I have witnessed this season. Turnovers in the red zone played a big factor but that's a correction that is easily fixed for SWE. At 6'1 230lb. Cortezz Jones is a big factor for SWE success on offense. That kid is a straight up beast and will finish you off like a Mack truck hitting a deer. Lol

304, not 340. Still a great big boy, though. 5 D1 offers. Committed to ECU. Was perfectly healthy vs Tarboro. They're just that good. Which is why your friend needs to shut up lol. He must think Duke's football team isn't good based off how they looked vs Alabama in the first game of this season.
Not only that if they think speed is going to stop Cortezz Jones they are sadly mistaken. He has speed to get to the edge but he will not be looking to run out of bounds once he gets there. He will not stand for a CB of LB to simply push him out of bounds he will go beast mode on you! Lol

Like I said Tarboro has the fastest most physical defense I seen this year. I will be going to Laurinburg to see 4A Scotland take on my pitiful south central falcons this Friday so that may change. Lol
I have been high on SWE ever since I saw them man handle Havelock at the jamboree. I think they match up well in this bracket and have a good chance to showcase how special this team is in my opinion. Their Achilles heel has been spread teams, but not this year and not in this bracket.
They have been playing really good football since the 0 and 3 start.They might be a hard out.
