Hibriten/Crest scrimmage

I’ll be out of town unfortunately.... Hopefully someone will post some updates about how both teams look
From what I have seen so far the defense is ahead of the offense. I like what I see as far as plays. Hibriten is committed to passing more this year. Waiting to see the full field scrimmage. The jv teams are out there now

In the full scrimmage they scored. That qb they have is fast and he did the most damage. We picked him off the next time they had the ball and stopped them the 3rd time on 4th down. Our offense looked confused and I understand it is early and it will take them time to adjust to the new offensive scheme. Hibriten is gonna pass more this year which has to be a shocker. We have a qb that has a cannon arm. I hear he is a little hard headed so I hope he can learn how to do his job correctly. Our rb does look good. He is not as fast as Gee was but he is much larger. He looks like a mac truck. The guy blocking for him is 6 ft something 244 pounds. We should be able to run straight up the middle. Throw in some play action and spread and we may become dangerous later. I am worried about our first game. Our guys are young and Alexander Central is tough early in the year. I think we will be good later in the year. I was surprised by one thing. Our jv offensive line looked bigger than our varsity. The whole line is monsters and it looks like our jv will be really good this year. I like to see that for the future.
This is what scrimmages are for. Working out the kinks, finding out how kids react to live playtime and then making adjustments the following week at practice. no one should ever get tore up over a first scrimmage of the season. This was good work for both teams against Playoff caliber teams. Big benefits to both schools in the scrimmage.
Defense should always be ahead of offense this time of year. And don’t worry Vinnyjr1,. Hibriten would not of scored on that third possession had they got it.

LA. Crest guy told me Fuller looked better did lots damage running...we know Ruff great kid and can play..guess they will have to decide who runs offese best
Haha I love how some people keep score of a scrimmage game! Both teams win today. They both have film now of real time situations. I am sure both ran basic plays and nothing to sophisticated. The score board read 0-0 at the end. Crest scored a td yay! I looked at their record on maxpreps and it says record 0-0. No points scored on that same site. If you are worried about being better than Hibriten you will get your chance next season. I heard we are moving back to 3A next year.

I think they had that backwards Ruff is 2 steps faster than fuller
So the borders kid made some great defensive plays.. The crest oline was pretty good and protected the qb well.. QB whomever he was made the plays on offense, usually on his on.. There was a defensive lineman maybe #73,, i might be wrong,,, that stopped most of the up the middle stuff... It seemed to be a pretty close matchup, crest i think had better overall team speed, but hhs has some good stuff to work on after this one.. Didnt see any injuries on either team and i say that is a win.. I thought hibriten looked better when running the offense out of the shotgun, but even that needs major work.. Great hitting by both teams..
I am worried, gulp! Please post the score of Crest's next scrimmage. I am on pins and needles waiting to know if they can win, lmao!
Who in the hell said anything about a score? The one poster who did, you liked his comment. Smh. I just asked about two former Shelby players who transferred to Crest.

There ya go. He may have been talking about soccer?? Lol, it was all in fun and so was my post. Damn, I love to pick and go on. Don't take what I say soo serious. I am happy it is football season and I really enjoy getting on here and having fun. To me there is no better sport than high school football. I am happy we scrimmage Crest and SP! I wish we played more games vs the high level teams like Crest,Shelby, and SP. I guess I need to quit messing with people since they take everything so damn serious, jeez.
Honestly, I don’t know. I was told by a athletic trainer today that Crest had NW Cabarrus. So obviously something isn’t right

Why would Fuller transfer to Shelby?
He would never get any snaps with the starters. Plus, going from crest Jv starter to a 2a team would be more of a lateral move. Don’t you think?
Shelbyfan1 Good to hear from you i will be at that game hadn’t forgot about it me an my brother an son an law talk about it We was like can’t wait to come over to Shelby.
I’m sure he meant with Bess being a senior, Fuller could possibly play two years at Shelby as his replacement in the 2020 season, as opposed to only playing one year behind Ruff, a junior. Don’t you think?
Yeah! Funny thing is, I had that same thought. I looked on our varsity roster recently, and saw two freshmen quarterbacks on it, no experienced backups whatsoever.

Both have QB coaches and Littlejohn went to Duke camp this summer....they will start out on JV to see who works there way to becoming abackup on variety.
I think we will be fine...but if either want to come pver we take them..lol
