I just read where kings mtn high school had 35 cases. It’s getting ugly out there in our high and middle schools from a Covid perspective. Hearing some alarming numbers from teachers across the state. I think the season is in serious jeopardy. 😡😡😡
Flatten the curve. I have always said they are using the wrong approach due to cancel culture. If we still watched the Dukes of Hazzard, you would know the proper strategy is to flatten the hills and straighten the curves.Should just take around 14 days 😁
Hopefully it will plateau and settle down for conference and playoffs.
Don't use "everyone". I only wear a mask if it's required were I have to go. Other than that Otis don't wear it. There is a lot of truth in what you are mentioning. We build up immunities by being exposed to stuff. There are a lot of get s and bacteria that are good for you. It's not good to constantly use antibacterial soap because you kill the good bacteria you need. My eye doctors receptionist tries to squirt it in my hands every time I go in there. I say no thank you. I will go in the restroom and run water over my hands and wring my hands together for 30 seconds. That is just as good. So many don't know that. I'm not purposely going to weaken my immune system.Has anyone asked this question? Is the Delta variant more transmissible because everyone's immune system is weaker than it was 18 months ago?
Pundits blame the spread on lack of vaccinations, not wearing masks, lack of social distancing, etc. Few if any talk about the fact that it seems to be well known within the medical community that one negative to lockdowns and isolation is our natural immunity to anything and everything wanes. If you know this is true then you should not be surprised at what is going on now.
At some point we need to adopt different measures for dealing with Covid because it isn't going away. Since most of what we've done so far hasn't worked maybe we try a different approach?
Good words, Otis. Seems these days more and more want to live inside a sterile bubble. Not me. I am going to get out and about in the world. Not going to purposely make myself sick but getting exposed to bacteria and viruses is what your immune system needs to stay strong. This shut it all down and give up approach where there a few cases is ridiculous. COVID ain't going anywhere. Adapt, overcome and keep moving forward.Don't use "everyone".
