2A Girls: Shelby vs Farmville Central

Any insight on Farmville Central is appreciated - we'll be covering the game for the local Shelby fans...

I see that FCHS has been to the 2A championship game now for 3 straight seasons and three of their players were key players in the past two seasons, so expecting a very good and experienced team. Are they tall, fast, great shooters, pressing, etc.? Or all of the above?

Farmville is tall, at least 3 six footers. 10 Joyner, the Jr C has multiple ACC offers. Foskey, another 6 footer at F is a Sr committed to Catawba. Guards are quick and can shoot. They run mostly 1-3-1 traps, will go man if they need to. So fast with length. They basically copy a lot of what the Farmville boys do. Rebound and run every chance they get. So big, not many teams get off rebounds on them. Pound the ball inside every chance they get. Want to beat them? Look at 2019 championship when Mountain Heritage beat them. The Cougars were unreal by shooting well, not giving up easy inside shots, and did not turn the ball over vs the traps.

Thanks Speedkilz1 - that tells me that Farmville Central will have a pretty big size advantage over Shelby. Shelby plays a similar style with the traps and running, so will be interesting to see how the size advantage plays into the gameplan.
