Is Freedom Big or Little 3A? is there a possibility of a Freedom/Havelock matchup. Sounds like the Emmons kid is the best RB in the state. I don't know if Crest can stop him. From what I have heard if Emmons stays healthy they could possibly do it but if they don't have him probably not. Did he play last year and how did Freedom do in the playoffs. Hoping to see that Freedom/havelock matchup, especially now that Keion Joyner is no longer on the team at Havelock.

Well, I'm sure patsfan will correct me if I'm wrong, but Emmons is underutilized in the new offensive scheme. But the kid dominates the field regardless. If he were used as a traditional HB, the kid would just run over everyone like he did last year. I'll get my up-to-date experience on Emmons this Friday when Freedom comes to Watauga.

Hes a flat out player,when Shelby played them this year,he was Rb..was kicker,and punter..played Lb,and some saftey.

Idc if u had record breaking derrick Henry on your team if your line doesn't block you are not beating crest they are a very physical team
Emmons can do it all, I think I saw him backing one of the buses in when the team has arrived for some games. He's a player no doubt.

Remember this happened last year in the 1st round last year 50-49 East Rowan over Freedom. Some folks knew Freedom was going to have a little trouble with East's offense, but to pull it out, left a lot of folks in shock.
Emmons had over 400 yards rushing in the game and like 6 or 7 tds. Freedom had 4 or 5 fumbles lost in the game. The motto goes: one week at a time.

Ahahaha!!!!! Seriously??? I would bet money on South Point, Shelby, Havelock, Northern Guilford, Kings Mountain, Asheville, A.C. Reynolds, Erwin, West Rowan, West Charlotte...The list goes on, of other teams that can or could beat Crest besides Freedom. Seriously? Why don't you ask North Gaston how a one man team can win state. It won't happen. Crest is a TEAM!!!! Not a one man show. ACR is the only team with a really special player that I would bet money on, that's only because ACR knows how to win and how to use a TEAM. I would be worried about ACR, I am not worried AT ALL about Freedom. I pray Freedom makes it past the first round, second round, and third round. Because unless God says otherwise, Crest will be waiting for you in the fourth round. Although, I doubt Freedom makes it past South Point or Kings Mountain for that matter.

From small chatter as of late neither Crest nor Havelock will reach the ship this season. Other teams are chirping that they have your numbers.
While I don't want to turn this thread into a "who can beat Crest?" convo. I will humor you. Who in small 3A can challenge Crest in the West? I'll give you SP, although, they're not as good as I thought they would be this year...so who?
Havelock won't be in the chip ? Who has their number west craven ? Eastern alamance ? Plz lmao neither one of there teams will stop havelock offense and all havelock need is one or two stops the game is over I promise u we will see this Friday number 1 vs number 4 in the state 3a classification
If the game was a one on one affair, then yes, Freedom would beat Crest. Since the game is an 11 vs 11 player affair, Crest would dominate. Emmons is a major talent, but Freedom isn't a major force in the 3A's. I see them getting to the 3rd round, and with some luck, a regional match-up with Crest.

Why does crest never schedule any Charlotte teams or teams in a higher division like Shelby does? Shelby went after south point freedom ac Reynolds .... All 3a schools. Crest never tries to challenge anyone bigger or possibly better. Also odd how they are all of a sudden a small 3a school when only a few years ago they were 4a.
While I wish Crest would schedule tougher opponents, that is not up to me. However, you have to admit that it is easier for Shelby than Crest..."Shelby always plays up!! why don't Crest??? Shelby plays 3A South Point!! 3A ACR!! 3A Freedom!!! Who does Crest play?? Nobody!!"
And yet, Crest has some how managed to beat Shelby 4 of 5 years in a row, three years in a row. While playing basically playing the same teams. So to prove we're better, we should travel all the way to Charlotte to play because beating Shelby isn't good enough? or winning state? okay, Ashbrook will be 4A next realignment, TCR is 4A, and SP is always tough....and we still won state against Havelock which no western team has done since Shelby in 1986...What else do you want?? As talented as havelock and west craven is crest size is just a big advantage and they have skill along with it as much as I hate crest fans their team is dominate these past 2 years I believe havelock will be able to hang with them this year but they can't turn the ball over
West craven relies on one player which is why I don't see them getting past havelock their qb is very good but football is a team game and I know Otis may come raise hell but I watched the games he scores 85% of y'all touchdowns you will not beat a great team with one player yes y'all have more athletes but we will see Friday

Very good to hear some are considering Freedom as a top contender
this year. We do look good against a very weak schedule. The only
above average team we have played beat us. Hopes are still high, athletes
are here, and hopefully we will make a run...... much too early to tell.

This is the same crap we heard last year when you said Crest was a joke. After they beat your guys like rented mules now they are good but the remainder of the West is a joke. You don't know what you don't know.
