Here we go again....hate to see the Tornadoes twice in 3 weeks but we've gotta go out and take care of business! Thoughts on the game?

I think Fairmont plays a more solid game than last time but the Stallions come out ready to play once again and continue to improve. I like the Stallions over the Golden Tornadoes 42-29

I agree with this Stallion but my concern is if we will have 78 and 40 back....40 is what keeps our ground game balanced and 78 closes gaps up front that allows 33 to pressure the quarterback. See that was the issue with the quarterback from Bertie for us that we kept allowing to pick up first downs, when 78 went down we lost all gap assignments up front and when Kendrick would get free on the edge he would just shoot up the middle. With all that being said I think our coaches will have us another great game plan for whatever the circumstances are. Also I would just like to add on a completely different topic that man wasn't it awesome when coach dove brought his wife and little boy to the center of the circle after the game Friday night!! Game me chills!! I could be all wrong but I just feel like this mans gonna be the one to carry us to the promised land in the near future! I won't ramble on anymore! SCHS OUT!

In talking with a Fairmont faithful, I told him that I didn't want to have to play Fairmont twice because they are dangerous offensively. He said, and I quote, "well, we don't want to have to play SC twice either. Ya'll pounded the ball right at us and we couldn't stop it. Don't want anymore of that." This was last week's conversation. Go Stallions!

I think you're gonna see an emotional and determined SC team hit their home field with more to prove. These boys are playing really good right now. They beat a good Bertie Team last week. The same Bertie Team that beat First Flight. I'm pretty sure 40 and 78 are gonna be ok. Leggett and Bellamy are on fire and Spencer seems to be the oil that keeps them running smooth on Offense and Defense. This is a special team. You should see something special this Friday night at home.

I believe the key to victory lies with Fairmont's defense. Will they be willing to stand up to SC offense. South Columbus offense is very physical, if Fairmont's defense can hold them to 4 maybe 5 TDs they can win. If #40 is lost for this game it will be a big help for Fairmont's defense. He wears down the inside of Fairmont's D. Come third and
forth quarter they can no longer give chase to #8 and #7 to the outside.

Strongly agree with you Johnnydollar and agree with SCHS2011 on #78. He is an absolute beast and closes such a big gap on the defense line and makes it hard to run up the middle.

Another key to the game is SC's stamina and strength. Stallions haven't ran out of gas all season.

Couldn't agree more, since week 1 with the victory over East Bladen these guys have been in shape and all played with motors that just never seem to stop. Super proud of this group of guys and what the coaching staff has done with them!

I agree with WingT. This is a special team. Usually, when you get to playoffs, the seniors are the ones driving the younger ones. But the juniors & sophomores want it just as bad as the seniors. This team has talent & the heart to match it. They want it bad & they have been well prepared each week, thanks to a great coaching staff. It's unfortunate that SC & Fairmont have to meet up this early because they both deserve a deep run in the playoffs. Should be a great game!

SC coaching reminds me somewhat of old staff with Willie,Jake,Tony ect. Kids and staff done hell of job. I'm looking for good win this week, then 3 round anything good could happen, even playing for the big one.
Good luck guys.

One offensive lineman has been out with concussion for a couple of games but is good to go. Defensive lineman and fullback went out last game with hits dertermined not to be concussions and they should be good and both seem ready. One LB had twisted ankle. One LB had a family event and couldn't be there last game. Add that up and you've got a full roster ready to roll. Hoping for a good game from SC!!

very nice. I'm hoping that this game will keep both sides under toes

South Columbus being at full strength will be a huge plus. Leggett is running wild and the Buffkin kid is a monster up the middle. Stallions have not passed very much since the Whiteville game but Spencer can throw the ball when he has to and the recievers are catching the ball lately, hope that continues. The Miller kid has made several key catches across the middle in several different games, and Bellamy has proven himself as a reliable receiver as well. Leggett looked a little banged up at the end of the Berdie game, hope he is 100%. Fowler has filled in nicely with some big licks at linebacker, maybe Chesnutt will be back this week to take some of the pressure off of Fowler having to go both ways. Fairmont is no joke, they have good coaching and lots of athletes and the will be ready as well. Can't wait till Friday night. Go Stallions!!

It's game day fellas I'll be at work, gotta close tonight and man do I hate it! But I hope the games great and good luck to both teams! Safe travels to fairmont! I'll try to check the radio as often as possible! Haha

75-42 Stallions roll! Second string scored the last touchdown. Man the stallions have really hit stride at the right time, I hope the curse is broken with East Bladen next week!
