There are two good football coaches that teach at Fairmont but did not coach because of the way the football program is. One was the defensive coordinator for about 12 years and the other was a Head Coach for several years. Lots of coaching experience that could have been used this year. Not alot of coaching experience there after the defensive guy. Head Coach has only been a head coach for three yr. Two coaches this is their first and second year ever coaching. Oh yea, the DB coach that is there is not coaching football either. Its a shame that the other sports like basketball and baseball win and dont have these issues.

Like I said 2500 yards or more passing yards before he got here.Gain only 20 yards the whole game against Red springs.
Way too many athletes to have less than 10 yards of total offense. Negative 34 yards rushing is a disgrace. Coach has to do a better job using his players. Some players get away with anything. If wins and losses is what matters to him,he is missing the whole point of coaching. Yes it's great to win but preparing kids for life after football is the most important. Maybe time for a coaching change especially with the athletes at Fairmont
You guys usually have good coaching. I saw Fairmont play and after first quarter,they turned it on. If they had a killer instinct in them watch out. Playoffs coming up let's see what happens. What you think about winner of West Columbus vs East Columbus going to Murphy to play first round? WC not won game. EC only one win thus far,it's crazy
I like this Fairmont team if they can get that killer instinct and play 4 quarters they can cause a lot of trouble for some teams. I also like a lot of players on WC team if they can get it in gear,but i think EC wins by a TD,but would not be surprised if WC wins.I like their QB and RB.
Fairmont has more talent than they have in the last several years. The only team that they beat with a winning record is St, Pauls..The rest of their opponents are 11-38.
Strick,I like Fairmont too. I would hate to play them first round. As far as WC,they don't deserve to go to playoffs,neither does EC. But u go where State tells u to go. Winner of WC vs EC will go to Murphy or Hayesville according to projections. Cost alot of money. Whiteville should be higher seed than 8. I think if they beat SC Friday night,you should be a 6 seed in East. But have been in West for couple of years. East will be tough. Playoffs all about money now with teams with 1 win in playoffs. SAD!!

That's what teachers and parents are for. Football coaches first priority should be about wins and losses. People come to see good football, not good boys. Losing coaches get fired no matter how life prepared his players are.
Coaches with no discipline and no control of his players have a hard time winning which in turn results in getting fired. I guess it all goes hand in hand. Good coaches that win don't usually have these issues in their football program.. All kids good or bad will conform to be a part of a winning program. It takes time to build a program and change the culture when a new coach comes in. The question is how long do you give a coach
