Carolina has had a number of 1st round picks and Gio was the first back taken in the draft a few years ago. Hood really shined last night and will have a great career with the Heels. Really start questioning OC's play calling. I would have given it to Hood twice from the 3. Even if he doesn't score you have them pinned at the 1 or 2.
Why would Carolina want a running Qb with the running backs they have? Makes no sense but its fun to watch them lose.I am not a fan of Williams. If Fedora is not going to let him use his legs then they need Trubitsky at QB. Williams gets frustrated at the little things and implodes and last night he solely lost that game. Hood is a beast and will do big things.
First of all, USC was not there, they are in LA. I was there and it certainly did not look like a home game for the Cocks although they travel well and certainly support their team. Lower level was 50/50 but Cocks had more in the upper decks. Stadium should have been packed, but ticket prices were ridiculous. Hood had a great start and will get a lot of attention playing for the Tar Heels. As far as ND goes, that certainly worked our for Florida State's new starting QB.Yeah and he never won more than 8 game either and played in front of empty stadiums. Elijah Hood would have been better off sticking with his ND commitment or playing football at a school that actually cares about their football program. It looked like a home game for USC last night.
The difference is that Fedora doesn't give any of his RB's a chance to establish a rhythm. NC State is headed for same problem with that stable they have this season. Once you find your horse, ride em bud!smh. All I've heard all day is this type of talk. If Hood is an All American after gaining most of his yards against a worn out, bad SC defense.....(10 per carry overall)....then what is that Carson kid from SC doing the same (all 4th quarter yardage against a bad, tired D) at 19 per carry? Guess he's an NFL All Pro to be as a third string RB.
I wish I could say you were wrong, but I'm afraid you have pretty well summed it up. (((sigh)))Check his history, that is what Fedora does. He never pounds it into the end zone. Unfortunately, he is like Lane Kiffin, he always wants to outthink himself in the Redzone. The mighty Kiffin cost Bama a National Championship last year when all he had to do against OSU was give it to Derrick Henry 40 times to eat clock and score touchdowns. Both those guys always want big plays, usually to the detriment of the team. JMO.
