Had to be those East Duplin refs the Clinton fans are always talkin about!
Our playmaker did not suit up tonight. Made huge difference. Ed played great. They deserved the win! Good luck to yal going forward!Huge win? This is a rivalry game. It could go any way, any year.
Tonight’s win means 1 of 2 things:
1. Either Wallace isn’t as good as advertised...especially with some posters saying they are likely to represent the East this year or...
2. The rest of the East needs to look out now that ED has finally figured it out and got it together. The coaching staff finally has the boys playing full games and it’s so exciting to see.
Either way, I’m happy for the win. Onto next week and playing Goldsboro.

Wrh did get outplayed last nite and last wk. But it definitely did make a difference that our playmaker did not play. We were in position to win either game. Yes we were sloppy, got what we deserved, etc. Jmo that dylrmple handlin the ball would have put us over the hump regardless of penalties, questionable coachin decisions, etc. Important time for soul searching, character checks, all that. We need all our pieces back. Never seen injury bug hit our program like this b4. JmhoDoesn't matter who played for the Dogs or who didn't. This is a game that WRH SHOULD have won if played on paper or on a computer. The fact is we didn't and that is because we were outplayed on the field. To offer excuses is only taking away from the effort that ED played with the entire night. They sure aren't flashy on either side of the ball but they are a hard nosed bunch that plays with effort. Coach Holley and his staff do such a great job with their system and they deserved that win last night.
As for the Dogs, still another county game next week. Maybe the last two weeks lights a fire under the entire team and we can get on a run. I know we are capable.
Again, all the credit to ED last night. Big time win.

So, how many teams make it in from the ECC?????We can still finish second and get an automatic berth but would need Goldsboro to beat ED and Clinton to beat Midway.
If that doesn't happen we will be seeded as a wild card and then slotted by our AMPR.
Guaranteed berths are dependent on the number of teams in a given conference.
The seeding process is clearly outlined on the NCHSAA website.
Was wondering how many bids does the ECC get this year for the playoffs. If WRH loses next week are they in jeporady of not making the playoffs. At best an at large ?????????
Remember 2004, SWO#1? Four ECC teams in the finals for the east with the eventual winner, SWO, rolling those blowhards from Shelby in the Ship?
Man that SWO team in 04 was very very talented. Heard all year no body could stop or hang with shelby. Same thing the next year vs Burlington with BO who was fast as lighting and could throw it a mile. SWO went on to beat both team to go back to back state xhamps lead by Kendrick Burney and company
