Good ball game last night in Pilot. The first half was really controlled by East Surry. Wilkes led by 10 at the half, however two long runs by the quarterback did most of the damage. On offense Surry seemed to control the line of scrimmage for 4 yards a pop.
Not sure what changes were made a halftime, but the Ronda Redbirds were a different team in the second half on the defensive side of the ball.
Both quarterbacks were impressive. The sophomore for ES is going to be scary good. Great size and seems to have a good feel for the game.
Barring injuries both teams should have a good year and could meet down the road.
The field at ES was in excellent shape.
