Anybody know what kind of team ER has this year? It seems like they have tremendous athletes every year but coaching staff does not know what to do with the talent. KM looks tough this year and from what I've seen they may surprise some people this year. I'll say KM wins this one 28-14.

KM should win easily. I would like to know who KM will surprise. I am not being funny either? They should clearly beat every team on their schedule with the exception of two. Shelby and Crest will clearly be favored in those games or should be. Not saying KM can't beat them, because I see enough athletes and size and speed to know better, so that begs the question. Who will KM surprise?

Will they surprise Shelby?
Will they surprise Crest?

Is that what you're saying?

KM should destroy everyone else, including Burns, as long as it is not raining, or a chance of rain, or sleet or 1/2 inch of snow or, a suspicious goat release, or a chance of a cholera outbreak.

I've seen Kings Mtn and Shelby play, not Crest. Both have strong offenses, defenses are ok. Injury bug has already hit Shelby. Their QB twisted his ankle pretty bad against SP, he could hardly walk near the end of the game. They also lost one of their running backs to a shoulder injury. The game is probably a toss up right now.

Crestrulz, Jeez dude chill out! All I'm saying is come playoff time if KM an underdog, they may just upset somebody.
Dam, Shelby already got you shook up this early in season.

I thought I was calm and respectful. I can go the other way. I didn't understand that blatantly ignorant comment. They will surprise no one. If they're 5 and 0 going into the Shelby game there won't be a surprise. If they play Shelby well or beat them will they surprise Crest? Nope! If they play well or beat one or both who will they surprise in the playoffs? Don't tell me to me to calm down when I was calm. If you don't like questions put to you in a civil manner chop your fingers off. KM2 what woodpile do these cats crawl out of?

Look Rulz just take a couple of valiums and figure out how in the world your DBs won't get burned. They better learn how to defend the bomb pattern.

Okay. And you figure out how your QB won't end up in a meat wagon if he stands back there in the daisies looking for "the bomb pattern" < the bomb pattern really?

The bomb pattern....................... I digress out of respect for my friends over that way.... I'm just going to laugh it off.

I believe that KM should win this one easily. Their defense is starting to come on now and their offense is still getting better. They went through the 1st and 2nd string QBs for FV and left the FV team with little to no options as the 3rd string was hit almost every time he touched the ball. They are becoming a very aggressive, hard hitting team wiping out offensive players left and right. I was impressed by their hitting and gang tacking last week and expect to see more this week.

Was going to go to FV and watch them host EL, but after watching what KM did to the FV offense, I don't see that being much of a game.

Is the bomb pattern the same thing as dropping the bomb or dropping the ball on Central Cabarrus or hosing down the field before Shelby arrives?

Seriously?? A Havelock poster?? Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Not even close. The only woodpile I ever came from was your mamas front porch. Really though, let me help you out a little Rulz. If you guys start now and watch a little film every week on Ronnie Lott, John Lynch maybe some Richard Sherman then you might be ready for Shelby receivers.

Yea, I saw all those receivers at SP last week. They looked swell.

We used to have a lone East poster named Davlry. However, he has not been spotted lately. Common opponent is North Gaston - KM won by like 40 and East lost by 2. I know you cant always go by that but in this game I think so. East does have some athletes and will pound it at you non stop. They don't throw the ball at all and with a lot of those guys playing both ways they just get worn down.

I am still around i will say the Cav Defense is better this year than they have been in quite a while.Offense shows moments of greatness but also shows moments badness..Lawn12Dog hit the nail on the head a lot of talent not enough bodies..Based on what i have read in the paper KM looks awful good.I never pick the Cavs to lose so i will not pick on this game.Good luck to the Mounties always enjoy coming down there.

I heard Malik Hamrick was on the team. If so, How is he doing? I have not seen his name in any of the stats.

Look at you foot trying to hijack poor 72's thread. Sorry about that 72 just over look him. He dont get out of mama's basement too much. As for the Burns hate keep bringing it. A wise man once said its better to be talked bad about (Burns at the moment) than to not be talked about at all (Charlotte Catholic all the time). Poor foot. His and his pal minifoot try and start a thread about Catholic and only get 1 or 2 responses, however, mention Burns and he gets 200-300. For the first time ever i agree with Rulz. Great work Foot

Kings Mountain is a very good football team but they can be their own worst enemy at times. Personally I'm more impressed with their Defense then their Offense.

If East Rutherford mainly runs and doesn't pass it, Kings Mountain will be running that 5-3 defense that they ran against Forestview and it will likely work like it worked this past Friday.

Their offense is averaging 45 ppg right now and the defense is giving up an average of 21 ppg. I think the scoring of 45 ppg average is the biggest stand out for the team at this point. Other than that, I completely agree with your assessment. If they clean up the little things over the next few weeks, they can be a true force in 3A come playoff time. Can't wait to see how they play Friday. I expect to see a more complete team each time they play, as long as the injury bug doesn't bite like it did last year.

If The Cav's pass very much it would be a news worthy event.

I really don't see East doing much of anything tonight except rolling onto campus then going home beaten up and broken down kind of like the team bus. Kings Mountain puts the wood hard on these guys. Great season going for KM. Keep it up boys.

7 - 7 with 3 minutes left in first . This may be worth checking out Monday night . Anybody else going ?

Anybody know what time Monday game will resume?? Score and how much time? Couldn't make it Friday nite but thinkin seriously about Mon nite.

Davlry- how do you like your chances tonight ? Obviously, the first quarter was very competitive. I think my son and i are going to ride out to KM. Does anybody know why games are never made up on Saturdays anymore ? This was a common practice for years but the last 10 or so the games seem to always be made up on Mondays. I would think coaches would prefer Saturday.

Just using our situation as an example.....It's easier to re-book officials, security, concession stand workers, gate workers, etc....The other thing is, some kids and coaches already have plans to go to college games on Saturdays. Last thing, when you play on a school day, for the most part, you know where your kids are and what they've been doing.....If you play on a Saturday night, you either have to bring them in early and baby sit them all day, or you trust that they will get to the field house in a timely manner with the proper rest, nutrition, and no extra performance inhibiting substances in their system.

Great explanation KM. I can totally understand that and appreciate the answer. Good luck tonight vs. East.

ER did give up few big plays that absolutely killed them. Not to mention the stupid penalties. (Giving up 1st down twice on 4th and 5). For all you Burns fans, Malik Hamrick had an awesome ballgame. The kid made huge plays. Also ERs nose guard is a freshman. He is already making a big impact on D-line. Of course, he'll probably be at Shelby or Crest his senior year. And I don't blame him. I don't blame Byers transferring to Crest and Camp going to Shelby. More than likely Byers is going to have 2 state championships and Camp will get his this year. This all leads to what I have been fuming over for awhile now. If ER had any kind of coaching they would probably keep their good players and compete with Clev. Co. a little better. But until then.......

Yes he did looked pretty good out there. I hope Malik finds what he is looking for not in football but in life. He has been to the house many times and I always thought of him as a good kid. Hopefully, he has positive adult role models guiding him.
