Once again, it will depend upon East Duplin's offense to make or break this game. If the offense can put together drives and give the defense some rest, we should be competitive. Otherwise, it will turn out like the Wallace game. Depends on which offense shows up for the Panthers.
Read my other post on the WRH and ED game. I gave the Dogs defense credit so stop nit picking. Where was that defense Friday night?
WRHs defense is nasty. I think Friday night they prepared for JK as a one deminsional team and they were wrong. IMO, JKs defense is as good as or better at this point as a unit as WRHs...and that is saying a lot given my respect for their defense. Gud luck to the Panthers. I am sure they will b prepared and ready to play with the coaching staff they have. Gonna be pulling for my Tigers though.
TD Pass, I was not referring to the WRH defense. You do not play WRH friday night. You said "it depends on which offense shows up for the Panthers." What I am trying to point out is that I'm sure East Duplin's offense will show up but that is probably about all they are going to do against James Kenan's defense. And you asked "were was WRH's defense Friday night". WRH's defense gave up 3 touchdowns to JK. So I thought the defense held there on fairly well. The major problem was WRH 's offense could not go anywhere against the JK defense. So in my opinion Friday night for you guys will be more about the Tiger defense coming to town than it will be about what Panther offense just decides to "show up".
Everyone's opinion when we played Richlands was that it would be a close game, but we blew them out. Everyone's opinion when we played wallace was that they would beat us by 3 or 4 touchdowns, and yall beat us by 5 tds. Everyone's opinion about ED playing white oak was that White Oak would run all over us, but we blew them out. Everyone has a opinion and they are entitled to it. My point is that no one knows what will happen in a game until the boys line up and battle it out on Friday night. You can't argue with that.
I don't see East Duplin scoring more than 14 points against JK. East Duplin is a good team, but James Kenan is on a different plane. I'll take JK and their nasty defense by 17.

Again all I was trying to say is that in your initial post on this thread you seemed to be implying that East Duplin's success on offense depended on which offense showed up. Without taking into account a very good Tiger defense. Also Wallace did not beat East Duplin by 5 TD's.
WRH Fan, I think you are misunderstanding my post. I simply mean that if our offense can move the ball, our defense gets rest. That's simple football knowledge right? If our offense can get a few first downs and stay on the field, our defense doesn't tire out as quick. Wallace defense kept our offense off the field and our defense tired out. Easy as that. Our defense has looked good every game this year besides the Wallace game. I credit us looking bad not only to our stagnant offense, but the Bulldogs on both sides of the ball.
Sameoldthing, I don't think we are top 5 material. I'll put us in the top 25 in 2A all day though. If we win, maybe top 15, but top 5 is far fetched. I'm just happy to see my Panthers back to ECC competitive form.

wrh fan. lets keep things simple. we got drug by wallace rose hill. yall got drug by james kenan. will we beat jk. well ill say jk is definitely the heavy favorite but if we execute and move the ball some on offense it should be a pretty good game. i wont say its impossible for us to win but it will take a gargantuan effort on our part for that to be possible. most people expect jk to win and win big. and honestly thats probably what they should think. but i expected wrh to beat jk rather comfortably but instead jk took wrh to the woodshed so who knows what will happen tomorrow night.

Ummm E Duplin is almost back, but James Kenan has arrived. JK 28-7 over E Duplin. E Duplin Maybe in a year or so can win a game like this, just apart of there rebuilding process and change to Battle as a coach.
