East is playing really well at the right time. East doesn't wow you with athleticism or intimidation, but they play good, smart, team ball.
The sad thing is the CCC will only send 4 girl teams to the play offs. In the most recent Maxpreps adjusted rankings, 8 of the 10 CCC teams are in the top 64 (which is how many teams qualify for the tournament). The conference is getting penalized for being so large.

East has been playing real good defense as of late and that has helped them as well. On offense, they are very unselfish with the basketball, always looking for the best possible shot.
