Second half was a whole different game. After Dudley messed up the punt and gave Page the ball it was a complete shift in tone from Dudley. They looked tired and defeated.
#2 for Page is quick! Dudley had momentum in the first half with their running game with #32, but decided to start doing short passes and scrambles that didn't work for some reason. Dudley needs to stick with one QB. Switching QBs out like that disrupts the flow of the game for them. Speaking of QB play Dudley's QBs missed a lot of open targets tonight.
Bad play calling by Dudley helped Page, but overall Page was clearly the better team.
Can't wait for the Page and East Forsyth game next month. Should be a great one.

I should probably note that this was not a blowout if I made it seem like that. But Page did dominate the second half and by the fourth quarter it was clear (at least to me and the others sitting around me) that Dudley wasn’t coming back.
Page had more depth and wore out Dudley's bigs. Midway through the 3rd, big number 79 was gassed. Page had a pick six for a score to open it up, and also had a long TD called back in the first half. Page drove the field at the end of the game and got down into the 10 and could have easily made it 35-7, but kneeled it instead. Page also had 7 sacks on the night.
Page was able to stop Dudley's running game, and when they kept switching QBs, it didnt let the Panther offense get into a good enough rhythm against Page's stout defense, it might be better than last years version... they seem hungrier, quicker, longer more physical on the back end.
Page won the toss, elected to defer, on the Panthers first drive, Page picks the ball off. right there, Page's defense basically set the tone for the game. They made plays all night, making it hard for Dudley to run the ball, and made plays on the outside. Which in turn made their defense tired later in the game.
Huge night for page wr/rb Cody King, he torched Dudley all night with long TD plays. He had a 40 yard screen play catch for a TD in the 1Q. He also had a catch out of the backfield that was about a 55 yarder called back in the 2nd quarter. In the 3rd, King ran a jet sweep, but stopped and launched one into the endzone where Ford Moser dove and secured it for a sweet td, later in the 3rd Paige would connect with King again on another td catch. Page scored on a 49yd pick six in the 4th and was driving inside the 10 at the end of the game.

This is very accurate i must say i just feel like if we would have kept feeding 32 and 22 instead running quick passes to the short side of the field we would have wore page down and our defense could have rested, but that bad snap and call on the punter really deflated the team. Page just took advantage like a good team is supposed too. Im proud of one of my good friends Coach Hall page OC great game calling and adjustments

but #1 is jurante Davis i think his name is he is our dominat LB he also is a track guy
And 6-5 Wr Deep threat Mike Waymen im not sure if the last name is spelled right he is a highly recruited 4yr stater 2 way player we missed with offers from schools like FSU VA tech Tenn and many more but dont get me wrong page took us too the wood shed. Tonight we have other key injuries but these were key guys noted in our season preview i feel they are game changers for us
tough sledding, injuries are a part of the game. Angus is Page's star player on D, season preview senior leader as well..
Jurriente Davis and Mike Wyman will be back soon enough (and so should Angus), and Dudley should be a very tough out this year. Good luck to the Eastside Dboyz the rest of the way
While Page played a very tough team like Dudley, EF is coasting against a horrible N Forsyth. Page then plays a fiesty fast E Guilford team, while EF takes on an even worse Carver team who is rated like #12640 or something in the nation on maxpreps.
Page had/has some games to actually worry about first, and not a game that is 4 weeks from now.
East schedule is pretty bad, but I watched them play Tabor and they looked really good. Tabor also finally switched out their QB and was able to beat West Forsyth last night as well so idk if their record is indicative of how good they are.
With that being said, I might give Page the edge because they're at home in that game. Should be a great one nonetheless.
East Forsyth played a very good 9 win team from last yr in Sanderson to open. Then took on Tabor who is probably equal to Dudley we'll have to wait and see.

Then you had 3A Northern who's really bad and 3a Eastern you can hype them up all you want they are not very good this year. then you play Southern guilford who's awful? You talk like Page is out here battling Mallard Creek and Butler.
Trust me when I say East Forsyth is a really good team and will be Pages toughest test of the Season.

I was only looking at the present (Dudley and NF) and next week (EG and Carver).. but yeah we all know both teams don't have the toughest schedules in the West.... not every week can we face a high level of competition. We were just talking about this on Friday night, I'd like to see Page schedule another 4AA team or 2 in the non conference, they used to play a team from VA, albiet not very far travel wise against GW Danville, I wouldn't mind seeing Page schedule against another VA power like Oscar Smith in Chesapeake and Highland Springs outside of Richmond. Or some in state teams like Wake Forest, Hough, Scotland, or put Butler back on the schedule.
What I was getting at was, Page has other things to worry about than a game that's in 4 weeks, so why bring it up now.. ya know?

Yeah Page and Butler used to play each other several years ago. I hope they can schedule each other again
Say nothing more @Warhead1. We don't put our schedule together. Forsyth Co. and their infinite wisdom draws 2 teams for us to play from the county outside of conference. Year before last we played Carver and North and served you all so trust when I tell you our schedule won't have any bearing on getting us up to come see you all. Like I said we want you u undefeated when we get there. You didn't put us away until late last year with a very young team.
We respect the Page program greatly but trust when I tell u this game has been highlighted on the schedule. You already know you're getting our best effort just like we will get the same from u all.
We would trade Carver for Page this week in a second. We hate it too.

It will surely be the biggest game in the state that week. I brought it up early because quite honestly this stretch of the schedule is painful to watch.
We do some nonsensical things in Forsyth Co. not in the best interest of our schools. No way we should play North or Carver anymore. I agree like you I'd just soon line down and play that team West did our of Virginia.
Can't wait for that week to get here and while E Gullford is respectable in their class they have no business beating you all. We know you gotta make it sound interesting though. Lol.
I knew Carver was in trouble against Oak Grove (and for the season) when they lost to Oak Grove’s JV with a good portion of their varsity linemen playing. That and they had to beg to borrow Oak Grove’s kicking tee.

Since Page's first football season in 1967 through 2003 Page is 32-3-1 against Dudley on the field.
Page won State titles at the highest level (4A) and is considered to be the states first true dynasty appearing in 5 title games and claiming titles in 4 of them, 80, 83, 84, 85. runners up in 82. During that stretch held the record for longest unbeaten streak with 46 consecutive games without a loss and 50 straight regular-season victories.
Dudley's all-time record since 1959 is 363-290-10 : 55.5% winning percentage
Page's all-time record since 1967 is 481-201-12 : 70.2% winning percentage
Page has a legendary head coach in the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame (2013 inductee) in Marion Kirby.
Dudley has had more success in the recent past since 2003. Page went 0-10 in the 2004 season and totally restarted the program after the 2006 school year ended... at the same time was when Steven Davis took over as head coach for Dudley in 2006, some of Page's assistants joined his staff, while Kevin Gillespie took over at Page the same year and rebuilt Page's program to where it is today. Since 2003, Dudley has topped Page 9-7 in the series. This has made the Page/Dudley rivalry much more sought after compared to Page/Grimsley (in football). Dudley has won 2 4A titles since 2010, and Page has won a 4AA title in that same time span.

Those had to be 8 quarter kids that also played on varsity. They're hurting for numbers from what I understand.
Yes, I believe that they were 8 quarter kids... but there was a pretty shady refusal to share their roster that night during the JV game with Oak Grove... so who knows if it got reported correctly. No skin off my back either way, since they’ll be sitting home in early November most likely. I feel bad for the program. It was really strong less than a decade ago.
I agree. Forsyth Co. is better when Carver is viable. A lot of Carvers issues are external but a great deal are also internal too. It is sad what it's turned into and I'm afraid if there's truth to the S. Forsyth info they'll turn Parkland into the same. I don't care for the optics about this situation.
Is South Forsyth the school I keep hearing about possibly being built on Ebert Rd across from Kimel Farm/Flat Rock schools?
