Did you see who won the Pisgah-Tuscola 50/50?

Sheeesh... Can y'all agree to meet in the playoffs or something, I need to make that trip!

The last two times we have played Tuscola at Pisgah, the pots have been big. The 2016 winner took home $19,600 and this year's winner claimed $21,365.50, but then he made a donation back to the wrestling team. Come on over to the game in 2020. We do it right at Pisgah!

Very well might have to do that! Seriously though I couldn't even imagine what that pot would be like in a 3rd or 4th round playoff game! And question, who said when they play at Pisgah... Why is it different when the game is played at Tuscola?

Our fan base is larger, our visitor side holds more than Waynesville's and Haywood County loves football.

I wouldn't say the visitors side was larger, but the other is true, Pisgah tends to have the more rabid support, a good 50% of waynesville is transplants more worried about building over priced apts all over town than caring about anything to do with Hs athletics, which is sad because it wasn't always that way.

Tuscola also has a 50/50 for the rivalry game when it is in Waynesville. Their highest amount was last year at $26,000. It’s still a really good pot, but it is 30-35% less than we have had at the last two games held at Pisgah, so if you want to get the chance at the highest 50/50, your best bet is the 2020 game at Pisgah.

I think they are getting comfortable with being "less" than us in many ways. Can you say S-I-X :)

You can't go wrong at either stadium. Safe to say no pot will ever be less than 8,000 take home. Pisgah Boosters do a outstanding job getting the tickets to the fans. Multiple spots to get tickets. People going through the stands selling tickets. That's the difference between the two pots. Pisgah seriously has a small army of people working just the 50/50

Something else I have noticed, it seems like a lot more kids and teens when the game is in Waynesville, in Canton it seems to be a more adult crowd, could just be me, but i seemed to notice that between last year and last night.

Congrats on your tainted win.. But don't forget who owns the original streak...….

Every time we mention our state championships you make sure to remind us that was in the past. Then post something like this.Brett has already beat Tuscola more than any former Pisgah coach and it will only get better.
How was it tainted? You are lucky you scored.

No luck involved, he flat out smoked the defense on that run, and it is always a plus to have a great fg kicker. You were gifted a TD, but I'll give you the other two, they were legit.

Wasn't a gift, but it was a bit of luck. Our running back fumbled on the play, and we recovered in the end zone. Video and pictures show our lineman with the ball over the goal line. That's why the side judges didn't call the TD.

I think you dont notice the kids as much at Pisgah's stadium because there is more space. I lot of them go play football in the grass field at the south end of the stadium.

Grasping at straws there 91. The inevitable is coming and y'all know it. One thing about tuscola's streak against the Bears. The Bears never gave up trying. Bet you cant say that about the mounties.

Bear. I was alive at that time ..were you?No one has given up on either side.Dark days for sure..But never give up.Now that being said let's talk about that BS touchdown and the possibility of your coach being related to one of the officials...Oh and it was no mistake we scored on you and you all ain't goin to state...No matter what albinobearsass says.

We may not BUT we gave yall the biggest let down of the year. And i bet ya that we finish better than yall. By the way, you may want to go ahead reserve your seats for the Franklin game since they will be counting on your entire student section to be there again..

There's a series of pics floating around on fb. Shows the play. Ball is laying on the ground. You can't see who landed on it. White hat walks into the pile bears have the ball in the endzone. White hat called the td. Most of those refs I've never seen before. I had seen the black fella before. He wears a white hat during the youth league games. The rest i have no idea who they was and I've done chains for youth to high school. I was alive in those years but I wasn't here. I'm not talking the days of old. I'm talking present day. There just wasn't a whole lot of effort out of tuscola towards the end of the game. Well there was from the kids. The coaches not so much.

Tuscola boys don’t have a thing to hang their heads about. They matched Pisgah hit for hit and fought all night long. Tuscola’s offense struggled in the second half due to a lot of penalties and Pisgah rallied to the ball for sure. A tipped pass ending in a long TD and a bogus TD on an awesome 4th down stop which was a fumble and downed on the 1. Terrible job by the white hat. The kids did a job well done. Just didn’t get the W which we’ll have to live with.

Tuscola's offense struggled in the second half because we adjusted our defense at halftime and shut them down, period. No way you can candy coat it when your total offense in the entire third and fourth quarter was a negative.

The total yardage for both teams were basically neck and neck, and most of our “negative yards” in the second half came from penalties.. funny how the Pisgah mountaineer fails to write that. If you don’t want me to candy coat your defense then don’t candy coat the obvious despicable job that zebra crew displayed on that field. Pisgah’s penalties came from cheap shots and make up calls after the fumble that was called a TD. Not shocked though since the White hat is from Rosman... maybe next year.

From an outsider's perspective the fan bases are a lot different. Pisgah fans tend to be more working class and redneckish while Tuscola fans are more classy. Tuscola has the nicer Stadium because you don't have to sit there and smell the paper plant right beside it. As far as actual Football goes neither team will be lucky to sniff a game past the 2nd rd.

Neither will Heritage, so don't feel bad.

I am no Heritage fan, but it seems 2A is a little down this year, it could possibly be the year they break through. 2AA seems to be the strong side.

They already showed they could play with good teams, did they beat Erwin, no, but they went neck and neck with them, they have the ability, and the coach.

We will know just how good Good Erwin is this friday when they play Reynolds, I am anxious to see this game as a fan of football. Neither one of the Haywood county games will be worth going to lol....

I could care less about Heritage. They only thing I said about them is they would have killed Pisgah the last few years and give you all you want this season. You couldn't even beat EH and you think you could have played with Heritage? Get real.
