YES BAMATIDE WE PLAYED IN THE RAIN!!!! And we lost 21-20. We also lost our QB to a concussion and our backup came in and did pretty good for someone who had never played the position before, we just came up a little short.
As for you foot soldier you are a pathetic excuse for a human being and you really should be banned from these boards. You are the absolute worst poster ever. What if it was your son that left the game because of a concussion? What if it was your son who couldn't quite get in on a 2 point conversion and lost the game by 1 point. Why do you care? Do you get some kind of pleasure in bashing high school teams for not wanting to go back and hour and a half to play a nonconference game and spend thousands of dollars again? We paid Central Cabarrus our share of the endowment money AND agreed to go back next year! LEAVE THE BURNS BULLDOGS ALONE!!!!! Consider yourself ignored!

My good buddy burnstwitter is upset with you but i am not because i would expect nothing less...we were up a score and moving the ball at ease and our QB goes down to an injury in the first quarter. Not just any injury but a brain injury as twitter pointed out. That Burns QB just happens to be my son. I am not sure if you are a parent or not but either way put yourself in my shoes for a second, if you will. While he was sitting on the bench getting checked by the trainer he looked and me and said, "dad where are we, I said we are at the Burns game and he said oh yea i'm ready to go back in. I just want to play." That, my friend, was one of the scariest moments for me as a parent... If you are a praying person then lift my son up in prayer and if you are not i will pray for you. Maybe he comes back in a week or maybe he has played his last snap but either way i just want my boy to be ok.... Sometimes football seems so small and insignificant does't it. Best of luck to your team or teams the rest of the way.

And if you know me so well you already know in the twelve years I've posted on NCP I don't pick on players or coaches. So who's full of what here? No of course you didnt. Never said you did. I dont know of any poster that would take pride in a kid getting hurt...No quilt trip either. I can dish it out and i can take it. Your original post didnt get me upset. That's what we do here. I was just sharing my perspective from tonight. As much as we love the game things can change in a second. That is for sure.
Appreciate that Foot. It is a violent game and my family learned that the hard way tonight. Hes been playing for 12 years with nary a single injury.

Thanks Man. I will keep you posted. Its just one of those wait and see kinda deals. Its hard to determine how severe it is but he was seriously disoriented. I have been the same way but mine was self inflicted from one too many cold ones, back in the younger days. Luke K from the Panthers is going on his 3rd week. Of course his wish is to go to practice Monday but that wont happen. There is like a whole team of people that form a "concussion network" that have to evaluate. And if he gets another one this year i think he would have to sit out 365 so that would impact next year since he is a junior. Best case its mild and he is out a week and since we have a bye he could still play in our upset of Shelby in two weeks. Come on up for the game and Shelby Lion will treat us both to some Bridges BBQ.

I've been where you are right now. I don't know you or your son but I can honestly understand what you're going through. Your son and your family are in my prayers. The man upstairs can fix any problem, but it's up to us to live with the outcome. Tell your boy to keep his chin up and if it so happens that he never plays football again, they're is plenty more in life. Trust me on this.

The results of the last two games is a perfect example of why you don't punk out against playing a team that you are committed to play. This is also a perfect example of karma.

I may piss a few off on here which is what I like to do but Burns needs to move #12 to DB and #3 to QB full time. #12 is as tough as nails so that is in no way a bash on that kid. I think he is an athlete and would do better on defense. He is not scared to hit either. He knocked the ER kids helmet off while hurting himself. #3 seemed to run the O pretty smooth and I think it could work. Just my thoughts.

Burns will be back, we have hit a wall right now. I thought we would have a pretty competitive season but the injuries have just dog piled on us (pun intended) and hindered that to a compete halt. We are in survival mode this season and will continue to fight. Just remember Bama, bout 5 or so years ago, you made fun of Burns with your "best team ever" and we lost by a few and played awful, you got quiet the next year or 2 when those same players grew up and you had to deal w them. We will be back and you will still be Tuscola...
As far as Earnsh!t, you will try anything to ruffle the Burns feathers but the fact is, CC head Coach is a classless POS that tried to flip this on Burns and you cant hanlde it. I wouldnt be shocked if you are sitting next to him right now modeling your play dough in a sculpture of his naked body. Get off our jocks and find something new to talk about. I appreciate that Earnhardt. The kind words me a lot. Through the years I have always heard of kids getting concussions but never really gave it much thought until Friday night. The last few days I have done a ton of research and these things are no joke. Found an article on Stephen Davis, running back on the Panthers 2003 team. He is in his 40s and has the mind of a 90 year old. It is estimated he had "100s" of them during his playing career that were not treated.. Sad.

I've got a soft spot for kids and injuries. I've seen guys my age all of a sudden act erratic, only later to find that they had one blow to the head too many. You and your son will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
