Crest Charger Defense

i am sure some of you remember my post from last season... Before it ever started, I claimed the crest defense would be the best ever. I have not posted much on here all year. As a matter of fact, I just go to the games and keep my mouth shut. But I am to the point that I cannot take it anymore. After looking out on the field and seeing the TALENT level of our team and we are "escaping" these ball games. With the exception of Shelby, there is no way our defense should get exposed. I am confused to why our players aren't put in positions to make plays. I realize a win is a win, but a team like Weddington coming to our house and hanging 38 in regulation is embarrassing. The attention to detail is not there. Granted that Foster was out, he doesn't make THAT much of a difference. I really thought talent wise, crest had A LOT of talent on the defensive side of the ball again this year. The best 4 linebackers of any team out there. As a fan i can barely watch... Some adjustments need to be made and I mean quick...

By the way, Preston Huskey is one of the best players on the field. Why does he not get the ball more on offense??! Tre needs a break and he's definitely the best change of pace...

Hopefully this week we don't try to run laterally with Tre, that crap don't work... The Line needs to block better as well...

It's painful to watch these talented young men look like crap to teams that aren't nearly as good..

I'm not trying to be negative, or not give credit to Weddington, but some of you have to agree with me...

I mentioned it repeatedly om this board, but I'll say it again. #1 and #8 from last year are hard to replace. They were the heart and soul of that defense.

You gotta have a Plan and you gotta have Discipline! ..... Or ..... You can just have enough players to overcome the good teams.

Each team is unique, you know that. You've got to let last year go, my friend. THIS year's team needs you to get your butt off the seat and make some noise for THEM instead of sitting back and stewing about the coach or the fact that the D has not performed as well as last year. If you can't enjoy this ride until it bucks us, even if Crest is only squeaking by, then I'm worried about you, sir.

Those are my thoughts.

Omar Brooks was a rare talent and you don't just put a guy in his place.

Jaleel Feaster and D Rose are missed badly too. Also i have to disagree that Foster doesnt make that much difference. With Willis comming off one side and Foster off the other its a big big difference. Watch the difference this week.

Simple answer D gets tired when they are on the field all night long the O either scores in 2 or 3 plays or goes 3 and out everytime they never get any rest.

Outside of Willis we are very small on the D Line and when Foster doesnt play we get even smaller and the 4 LBs have probably played a total of 3 games together., The secondary does the best that they can because QBs have way to much time to throw the ball. We really need Foster and CJ White back asap. Hope Foster doesnt have any setbacks this week.
