The Davidson Xmas Tourn was getting old. Too often it was playing conference opponents. I saw the new format is broken down into two brackets- Ledford, OG, South D, Tville, Trinity, SWR, E Randolph and Wheatmore. Then Randleman, C Davidson, Lexington, W Davidson, Providence Grove, Asheboro, J Matthews and E Davidson.
Who are some of the favorites?
Girls- Ledford, Oak Grove, SWR could win the one bracket.
Girls- Randleman should dominate the other. Asheboro lost 4/5 starters.
Guys is a tossup from what I see.
Another problem I always had with the Davidson Co Xmas Tourn was they didn’t seed teams based on records. They rotated each year. Therefore, you could have the two best teams facing off in the first round.

So it is an actual tournament? I'm really loving this. The C-T Invitational was getting really stale as well. I am glad that they kept Jordan-Matthews though.
As far as favorites.....
On that one bracket, I think the Randleman girls will run the table. Guys side, I'm not sure. Probably either Lexington, PG, or Asheboro.
In the other bracket, on the guys side I'll take either Ledford or T'ville. On the girls....I'll go with your picks.
I'm really interested to see how South Davidson does on both sides. I also hate that ND is not in it....especially on the girls side.
The brackets have been released. I do wish they would wait and not have pre-determined brackets, but that’s how the Davidson Co Tourn always functioned
