Congrats to Reidsville wresting, Mideast Regional champs

Since there's no wrestling forum, I'm posting it here ... several Reidsville football players involved.
Rams scored 186 points ... Ledford 159, Wheatmore 157, Trinity 155.5 and Morehead 88 rounded out the top 5.

Reidsville got individual championships from Ki Rankin (220), Cody Williams (138) and Elijah Boyd (120) to lead the way. Titus Harrison (160) placed second; Keyan Floyd (195), William Redd (106) and Julius Miller (145) took thirds and Jasper Williamson (113) and Jordan Lindsey (285) placed fourth.

The Rams also got valuable points from Talik Harrison, Carlos Blackwell and Jevon Burton.

Top 4 from each weight class advance to the states next weekend.

I'm thinking this is the best showing in regionals for Reidsville wrestling in a long, long time.

Big day for Rams - also indoor track!
Senior Savion Thompson was most outstanding performer, winning long jump with 23-01.50 and triple jump with 45-06.5. He also placed second in 55-meter hurdles with 7.57 and third in 55-meter dash with 6.56.

If some of the fast Rams from football will join Thompson in outdoor track this spring, they could have some dynamic relay teams and a state contender.

Absolutely. Baseball isnt a bad alternative either, those guys are usually pretty heady on the field.

And it's been said by the experts that specializing is not good for player development.
