No matter who you follow, these 3 teams are just about always in contention when it comes to the playoffs.

1) East Duplin finally gets the Monkey off their back with a win over the Darkhorses. Clinton has truly been a Thorne In ED's side for years in the playoffs.

2) No matter who says what about refs or bad calls, it's the final score that either moves you forward or sends you home.

3) I know Wrh has been wanting a rematch with ED and I can't blame them although I was hoping for a matchup with West Craven.

4) Posters------Clinton and Wallace have some classy posters but there is one that stands out. That would be Wizard. We all love and support our respective teams and that's ok. However he is simply an obnoxious, know it all and I've been on his ignore list for sometime now and that's fine. Therefore he can gripe complain and whine til his hearts content but the better team won.

5) To be honest I did not want to play Wrh again this year as our last meeting could have gone either way. This will be a Big Time County Rival Showdown for sure. I feel certain my good buddy Wiz will be in attendance Friday night rooting for Wallace😂

6) All in all we love the game as well as the message boards and all we can do is set back and talk smack because our high school days are long gone.

7) In conclusion, congratulations to all of the teams still left. It has been an interesting year and an interesting playoff picture thus far. So, who represents the East, Wrh, NE, St. Pauls, ED, Whiteville, or someone else? Gotta love Prep 🏈 Football.

I'm going to say this game is too close to call. I didn't predict an outcome on the Clinton game, I just said Clinton Would Not score 48 pts on ED like they did Hertford.

First, I'll say that both teams have played well and are deserving of being this far in the playoffs and both represent the ECC very well! Unfortunately, someone has to lose this one and pack it up for the year.

I've seen comments on here about "you know what ED is gonna do; their offense is very simple and lacks complexity." My response to that is that they have only dropped 1 game this season and could have easily won that one. No one has held the Panther offense to less than 24 points all season. So even if "you know what they are going to do", how will you stop it? Simple or "razzle dazzle" makes no difference if its effective. I think Coach Holley gets the absolute most out of his players and playbook week in and week out.

It's another "super bowl" week as it was called earlier in the season. WRH will be out for blood after a close loss to the Panthers earlier this year. No one will be taking Kanye and the Bulldogs lightly next Friday night. I truly expect it to be a hardnosed game won in the trenches.

Good post. We're due though. But does that really matter? Kind of game that makes you proud to be from duplin co!

This is a little off subject but a shout out to EDs QB. The kid played his heart out last night after his grandfather had passed away just hours earlier. I was told they were very close. Had to of been hard.
