Clinton @ Midway Oct 9th

Sampson County rivalry game only the 3rd meeting between the two but over the last 2 years since being in the same conference this has become a pretty heated rivalry with our friends from Spiveys Corner especially in Football,Basketball,and Baseball....Clinton has won the previous 2 meetings between the teams winning last year's game in a 42-0 shutout....Clinton looked good against them in the jamboree during preseason but both teams have improved since then...Midway is playing on a short week still having to play Pender today but they should make quick work of them....Being the home team and this being a rivalry game Midway will keep it close for a quarter or two but I think Clinton will roll in this one...My Prediction Clinton 35 Midway 7....any thoughts???

I think Midway hangs in for the first quarter due to adrenaline, but their lack of depth is certainly going to be a factor in this game. Clinton wins this going away.

Puts Midway in a tough spot having to play Tuesday only getting two days of practice in to prepare for Clinton...good thing for Midway is they got to Scrimmage us earlier in the year and it's not like we doing anything special on offense

Off subject but Wiz we had a conversation last week and in that you mentioned how you had thought you had read that Shelby fans were upset because they were not opening up the offense and throwing it around more, Here is the stat line for the QB for last nights game vs E. Burke.

Darquez Lee 16-23 485 yards and 7 Tds

6 of those 7Tds came in the first half.

So that's their game now. I prefer the running game myself. When you throw it 3 things can happen and 2 of them aren't good. Now I'm not saying don't throw it. If the other team puts 8 in the box you gotta do what you gotta do , but running the ball , limiting possessions, controlling and shortening the game- championships!
