Another great win.....some folks said before the game they could not see us winning by 2-3 scores.......well well lol great offensive gameplan Jalen Smith another 3 TD performance Skinner was well Skinner making big plays on both sides of the ball Tyion Wright had some big runs too......defensively we got to tackle better sometimes Hoggard runners were a shoestring tackle away from going to the house......but overall we made adjustments and defense stepped up and all this without Prentice Murphy arguably our best defensive player

Time of possession particularly the 2nd half was big. Taking the 2nd half kickoff and driving down the field using 1/2 of the 3rd qtr was the back breaker The DarkHorses were in complete control.

Great win! Dark Horse offense looked unstoppable...could have made it 40-7 but let the clock run out deep in viking territory at the end. Got to tackle better though.

Dark Horses showed a lot tonight. Overcoming a sluggish start, coaches adjusting to the Viking offense, Defense bending but not breaking. Offense eating clock and scoring big. All around it was very impressive. They have now through four games scored 182 points while giving up only 23. These kids are going somewhere this year. Just sayin'.... Oh did I mention thaat the defense get Prentice Murphy back next week? Feelin good about things and praying that there are no injuries! Go Horses!!!

Easy to forget Jalen Smith is only a sophmore what a weapon and the defense continues to impress......Kris Williams has to be among state leaders in interceptions 4 in 4 games....Kramer Page and Skinner at LB flying around making plays upfront got gashed a couple times tonight but Devonte Smith in company recovered and made plays.....we should be getting Prentice Murphy back next week

The entire offensive backfield continues to perform along with the offensive line........we did not complete a single pass tonight lol but hey it works for right now........also saw some Wallace fans in the stands scouting us out

Those WRH fans I saw were pulling for us . They want both teams to be undefeated in the regular season finale. I'm pretty sure that will happen
Will be good to have one our very best players back next week.Everyone stepped up these past 3 weeks

Final test is over. Eastern title game is pretty much a lock. And more most likely.

Defense: Mike Kramer 12 tackles Kris Williams 11 tackles 1 int Frank Nelson 9 tackles Khari Williams 3 tackles 1 int

So proud of this team and they are a team. No one trick pony. All 4 backs in the backfield are capable of taking it to the house anywhere on the field. Did I mention the defense? Two of the hardest hits of the season were in last night's game. You could hear the crowd groano_O

I was sitting on the Hoggard side last night, and when Jalen rumbled for that 29 yard touchdown, I heard one of the Hoggard fans say "This is going to be a long night if they can just run up the middle like that!" One of the gentleman asked what classification Clinton was, when I told him 2A, he just gave this blank stare, then said he had never heard a team(Clinton) hit so hard since he's been attending Hoggard games. He then went on to say, "I think I just saw the 2A champs right there!" Both comments made beam with pride.

Shelby might have something to say about that. I hope Bob Lewis does win it all but Shelby seems to have Clinton's number.

I wish Clinton would be in Shelbys division but unfortunately we'll be in 2AA. Pretty sure Lewis is 1-1 against Shelby so not sure what you mean when you say they have his number.

A Clinton and Shelby state title game would be a good one to see in December. Unfortunately, Shelby stays small 2A and Clinton goes 2AA. Both teams need to remain focused with a lot of football left nobody knows what could happen. Also come playoff time and we see where the teams end up I would not sleep on the 2AA Champs from last season Monroe. Tough schedule really will have this team ready and posied for a deep run again

Clinton more than likely will be 2AA Shelby 2A......Like a previous poster said Lewis is 1-1 all time against Shelby so if thats the definition of having his number than ok i guess

Darkhorse#34, I know Clinton is special from what you guys are saying, but what's with Hoggard? Do they have talent? Poor coaching? Making mistakes? I really thought this would be a great game, but was disappointed and surprised by the final score.

Defense seems to be the issue as far as i saw.....we beat them without throwing a single pass just looks like a lack of play makers on defense......offensively they have some playmakers Allen and Wallace the running backs are fast hit holes extremely well i was impressed with them couple times they were a shoe string tackles away from scoring.....QB was big ran well good arm.....think some of the play calling at certain times was questionable

Trench Fighter, seriously there was nothing wrong with Hoggard, they just ran into .a very very good Clinton team. Not bragging serious here. I've seen almost every Clinton game since 1975. This team really has no weakness..That's rare. They're not perfect but.. Hoggards played a pretty tough schedule so far. I don't keep up with 4A , I follow the Fayetteville schools but I could see Hoggard winning out regular season. I think they have a good QB. Their biggest weakness is inability to stop the run and that's Clinton's forte. Clinton played a classic game of ball control. They took their time and was patient about their business. Also I imagine it's It's a real challenge to coach against a icon like Bob Lewis. Sometimes really good teams can cut across classifications.Clintons1996-1977 team was like that. This year's team remains to be seen. Theres a lot of football remaining to be played. Good luck to the Vikings the rest of the way!

I have to go with Trench on this one. I do believe Clinton has one of those "every 20 year teams" but Hoggard is definitely not a team to gauge your team by this year. This Hoggard team does not appear to have the talent or that killer instinct they have had over the past few years. I just don't see a 2A team beating a strong 4A school in most cases. Not taking anything away from the Dark Horses because from what I have seen this year I don't see a 4A school in this area beating them this year.

dirty stallion, I believe you are so correct! Not taking anything away from the 01 & 05 championship teams this team to the man in ever position may can become the best DarkHorse team since 1997. They're not there yet but they're headed in that direction.

Clinton did give up some ground yards but Hoggard has more depth to wear a team down that doesn't have good depth. The Darkhorses gave but didn't break. And they shut down Hoggard's passing attack. It's gonna be tough to beat them this year in the playoffs.
