Tim Pruitt has retired after being a head coach for 20 seasons at West Wilkes, Watauga, and Cherryville.

He was an assistant at Starmount under BW Holt and Joe Hutchens. He was on the 1998 state championship coaching staff.

Coach Pruitt was not only an incredible coach, but an incredible man. Loved talking to him anytime I was in the area. Cherryville and the entire NC High School Football community will miss having him in it.

I played for Coach Pruitt back when he was an assistant at Starmount - you won't find many (if any) better than him - just a great all-around guy and coach. Congrats on your retirement, Coach!
