I've seen Corvian twice on TV. They have good speed but against ER a lot of penalties so they better do a better job with that.
The ER game could have been a different but ER shot themselves in the foot with the turnovers 1 inside their 20, 2 inside the Corvian 15 and 1 pick 6 so that's a lot of help I don't think they'll get from MA.

I think Mt Airy by at least 2 scores. Martin is a difference maker

Early gut feeling tells me Corvian’s run ends. They have never had to play from behind, and I would say the bears get a lead on them at some point during the night. However, the great equalizer will be that Mt Airy won’t be the fastest team on the field. Should be a good one!
They played from behind tonight. ER scored 1st drive and stopped them their 1st. Corvian doesn’t panic. They have been really prepared and worked for the humble success to this point. Everything that was said that they couldn’t/ wouldn’t do has been refuted by the young men’s play on the field. They have a great head coach… HE is battle tested and over three years the boys have worked for these opportunities, humbly.

The head coach seemed like a good leader. I hope that the young man who was short of breath after the game and who the ambulance came back for was simply dehydrated..:
While I am not disparaging Corvian’s effort, especially in the second half, I believe just looking at the game, ER was ahead in total yards as well as more trips into the red zone. First half scores were gifts from ER. Second half Corvian earned both. ER DID NOT win on the scoreboard however and that’s the only thing that really matters.
Good luck to your teenagers the rest of the way.
Gotta give respect & apologize to Corvian. Thought that would’ve been an easy W for ER.
Hard to overcome four turnovers sir. Especially when they result in TDs or very short fields. Those, combined with the two in the red zone going in for two possible TDs proved to be their undoing. As I have said before however, scoreboard is all that matters.
Guess I’ll live vicariously through the Tarboro bunch now…

MA will have something many teams want have....a will to win a championship mentality! These kida have played an xtra 12 games in last 2 season playoffs. And 3 this season. A lot of big game experience.

I just figured out that CC their mascot is the Cardinals. Well hallelujah. It was sad to see Easton Randolph looks so bad turning the ball over last night. Corvian's got a quarterback that can run. And a running back. And one of them is a really good corner. For the life of me I can't figure out how Eastern Randolph kept fumbling like that and throwing pics. When you should have just been running it down their throats. Because they obviously couldn't handle it hell they didn't stop you that much. Can't give the ball away inside your own 20 twice. Can't throw a pic 6. When you let somebody get their juices flowing. Going to be real fun and Mayberry on Friday.
Gotta learn by now ER is never as good as they look.
I think MA wins but the talent level in football around the Charlotte and Monroe area is way better than rest of the state. Erwin found out last night 58-0. Mt Tabor last week 44-0. West Stokes 48-21 and Grimsley and East Forsyth will find out this week. Hopefully Mt Airy comes out running the ball

1a is tough no matter what people say, you can be the biggest, the fastest, the flashiest team on the field, yet something in my heart always knows to trust a Mitchell, Murphy, Moutain heritage, Robbinsville team. I would include mount airy in that but it seems everyone in the world but their fans know what’s going on over there. Thats like combining Murphy and Andrew’s best players every year.
Mount Airy is more reliable than any of those teams you mentioned
Well always back to same crap, we have our core that won the championship as freshman so give it a rest dude. You will see a true team of recruits this coming Friday when we play Corvian and wonder what you will say then.
That a giant stretch, I’ll take what Murphy and robbinsville does every single year over mount Airy. Especially the last 15 years.
And yet…
The team that has ended their season has won the championship the last two years…
And recall that team mentioning it might have been the toughest game they played both years…

Hahaha I see what you did there. You and Cherokee county can't even agree to get a new school because you hate Andrews so much. What you guys need to do is just accept that basically You guys keep thinking you're tough but really you just stupid. don't give us that answer that nobody wants to have anything to do with Andrews You just turned in or gave back 64 million they would have helped you fix that problem created a better education system for the people of your county. But you're such next that you couldn't do it.
