Here is a good, quick read about John Smoltz's Hall of Fame speech. Adapting to change is part of life. Holding on to something for selfish reasons is well...just selfish; however, wanting better for people and particularly kids, is what gives us an opportunity to not just complain about what should be, but a chance to make positive changes by sometimes embracing what has worked before. There are so many values and knowledge gained by learning to operate and self govern as most of us did as kids.
