I've seen East, Central and West scrimmage. East on defense doesn't alot of size but somewhat quick and agressive in the front 7, looked pretty good against the run. The pass defense was suspect as they gave up pretty much all their scores on passes but I did hear they had a couple of their starting corners didn't play. East run game looked pretty good overall, blocking was suspect but they have two solid RBs that looked pretty capable, OL didn't seem to block well consistently but I believe Coach Hanner will get that sorted out. Their passing game was decent too as I believe they had 3 TD passes in the 2 scrimmages I saw. Their QB has a great arm and looked good scrambling out of the pocket. He looks to have improved his accuracy as most throws were on target although there were a few dropped passes.
Central overall doesn't look to have a lot of size but some hard nosed kids. Their offense looked very hard to stop with the double wing and scored a few times on the two teams I saw them play. Teams will have to play disciplined against them and figure out how to stop that crazy wedge play. Their defense overall looked ok and played hard but gave up a few scores.
West was well..West. Had good size on the lines and liked to grind it out on offense and defense played hard but doesn't look to be overly impressive. I think I remember seeing them give up a TD or two to Wheatmore and one to Providence Grove.
I suspect all the teams at the scrimmages were just running vanilla plays so as not to show their hands to other teams there scouting them out.
