Because he defrauded a school that plays 4A football. If you think it can't affect a football program, look at the similar situation at Southlake Christian. Obviously, Catholic won't scrap their football program in the wake of financial scandal turmoil like Southlake did, but I still think it was relevant to post.
But does it have anything directly to do with the football program? The article doesn't mention anything about football, so I'm just posing the question because it seems odd to me that this is mentioned on a 4A football forum when nothing at all is mentioned about athletics.
This is old news. He screwed up, got caught, and they fried him.

Jerry was one the sidelines every game cheering on the mighty Cougars. Say what you want but it is football related. I said it happened last year foot it is now new news because of his guilty plea and awaiting sentencing.

Please. I'm just defending a poster I respect after people questioned why he dared to mention your dirty laundry. I couldn't care less about Catholic.

So, if the ex-principal wasn't on the sidelines at every football game, this wouldn't be a football story? Your argument seems to place more emphasis on him being a fan and less on him being a principal.
Healy was an integral part of Catholic for 40+ years. Actually had been with the school longer than Coach Oddo. He coached with Oddo for many many years until the early-mid 90s when he left to go start the Catholic middle school on Park Rd. Now known as Holy Trinity.

That is true. He didn't miss many. Jerry was a sports guy. He loved interscholastics. He coached for decades and started the middle school football program which made us contenders, made us champions again. He was with the Catholic school system over thirty years and a fabulous administrator. He started out as a teacher. He did a lot of good things but this was a crime and required intervention internally and externally and that's what occurred. Had to be done. I miss him and wish him well.

Shots fired but facts unless current or news that effects this year team should not be mentioned. There are many in high school sports who make mistakes. It sounds like he did an paid for it move on. This may be a post for another NC football site where they care about drama and what is wrong with high school athletics.
Find it interesting that you would take shots at another NC football site when this one has become just littered with garbage posts from posters that go from thread to thread hijacking and posting non-sense. Has become nearly impossible to wade through the 3rd grade stuff in order to find actual football conversation. You guys allow 4 or 5 posters to literally ruin any real football talk.

I jealous of their program.
As far as where they can get their players. I want go there.

I'll go back several years. CC came to Brown for a playoff
game.

who was a senior for CC.
John needed some help getting his wife into the stands.
She had surgery that morning and could not walk too far.
I set them up with chairs on the visitors side on the hill
overlooking the field. Got them in the back gate to park
and escorted them to their seats(chairs) for the game.

You have an odd way of showing your respect towards Charlotte Catholic. This story is about an ex-principal who got his hand caught in the cookie jar. It has nothing whatsoever about 4A football.
Your story about the wife is touching. Most are willing to do the same gesture without the need of praise.

I can comment that hon has been an good k town guy. Maybe a little smug on his first trip to our little stadium but the kinda of fan and person who loves high school sports and looks after the visitors
I don't think he meant any disrespect but Coach Healey did a lot of things right by the kids during his life. It is a shame that this happened

Despite Hon's good will over the years, I'm not surprised he started the thread - does'nt belong here.
Someone recently told me about him throwing a temper tantrum at an American Legion game, so I'm not sure if that goodwill is still in the tank or if it's been released into the atmosphere.
