Yes rule was experimental in NC in 2019, national wide in 2020.QB must possess ball and throw to ground. I have seen some QB’s slap to ground. That is illegal.

It was illegal a few year ago but like stated above it has changed

Must actually catch the ball. I have seen QB’s not possess it trying to hurry.

If the QB were to slap the ball to the ground, it would still be a live ball and could be recovered by the defense. Very bad idea.
