We played a relatively clean game, a few penalties and no turnovers. Huss did a good job answering back to keep it a 1 score game but I felt Burns had it in control the whole way. Got to clean up the secondary some, their QB did a good job getting it to some big receivers in the 2nd half when he wasn't getting pressured. Mosteller and Burris were making plays all night in the backfield. Good win, and got a bigger test against a good CC team.

Just couldn't seem to pull away tonight. Jumped out 15-0 and kind of stalled for a while. Good win against an athletic team. Got to get better at kick coverage. It will cost us at some point this year.

Saw a bunch of crest fans at applebees and all were very complimentary on the win for us . Seems like ashbrook always gets up for crest.
Not all crest fans pull for burns,shelby or kings mountain,but the real fans do just not on this board....... I've been to most of crest games for 30-35 years and win or lose I just enjoy the game!!!!!!!

I asked him about Burns and he stated it was a new attitude this year.

Its a little early to say Burns is back Godevilsgo. But they are moving in the right direction. A good win last night. Coach Devine and his staff will continue to get this program back on its feet. Burns fans just need to be patient. Glad to see good things happening up there.
Good post. GDG is right also, a winning record will go a long way for us. We should be competitive and in every ball game we play unlike the least 2 years. The community is excited again and has the kids pumped to come out and be apart of Maddog Pride. when the other coach left, the mutual agreement was that the program was set back 10 years...Devine, Pack, Cog and the whole staff has definitely worked their butts off to see that isnt the case. We are moving in the right direction and fans need to be patient.
