What in the world is going on with the former standout? Will he leave state? Why did he not play football? He looked lost all season on the court. Avg. 2 pts a game ha? He has got lost in the basketball world. Said when he committed to state, was the biggest mistake of his life? What is his future, since no one wants to speak on it?

His high school coaches thought he needed to play football but his basketball coach thought else wise. Haven't heard any current info about his future. I know some college football recruiters are hoping he changes his mine and transfers to play football.
The bad part is once his buddy Cam Hayes entered the portal, the talk about a new point guard on a lot of sites mentioned that recruit they signed or a transfer, and not Pass. So who knows what his future holds.
I always thought that Breon is a naural two guard but he is just too small for that position. And he is not a natural point guard. So, I always wondered where he could fit in at the college basketball level.
Might be a slow start but he will be successful as a collegiate athlete.
I don't think he looked bad when he was in the game. State was a dumpster fire this season. I do think he was a better football player though. Had probably the best offers for a Reidsville football player I've ever seen.
Can one really switch to a new sport during college? Would it be at a different school? Has this ever happened before. I feel for the young man. State is a dumpster fire, but they were before he signed up to go there? He looked completely lost on the court, maybe because he only played 6 mins per game. He was such a monster in football. Sad to see this talent go to waste. I'll be watching his next move

I fully understand that brother, but the poster said a successful college career, as an athlete. Imo he won't see much court time in the next four years.... As a football player in college, imo would have dominated, as a freshman
It can happen Greg Paulus was point guard for Duke one year then transferred to Syracuse and played QB. Pass probably wouldn’t even have to transfer he had a football offer from State didn’t he. Just a matter of talking to the coaches and figuring out the scholarship situation…..that’s if that’s what he wants to do.
Jimmy Graham played several years of hoops at Miami, then switched and played one year of football. UNC also had a reserve guard named Kanler Coker about 5 years ago who switched to hoops after an injury ended his football career. State is a sinking ship in mens' hoops right now, but it's hard to get in a groove when you're playing 5 minutes a game.

Definitely right about Greg, he was a baller, starting as a freshman and four years at Duke. No way to compare the two. Pass is not even touching the court, small height and frame to play any type of basketball at the next level imo. Just wish he had some good people around him, explaining his ticket was in football. Hope the best for the kid, but state is a dumpster fire and will be for years to come. Just Signed KK to 2 year extension through 2026........

You're right brother, but taking a year off or two or three. What position would he play? He seems to have lost a lot of football build.
Looking at him he was never really a huge guy. I’m sure he still has his speed and hands……Slot WR(similar build to a guy like Josh Downs)or Corner back
College recruiters and his high school coaches think he would make a great corner back.
A year ago or now? I don't see him changing sports at this stage. Hopefully he will, but as you can see no Reidsville fan comment so no insight is out there
He has current interest from football recruiters. And yes, I am most definitely a Reidsville fan for about the past 70 years.
I have no idea what, in anything, he might do.
He would be a better fit at a smaller D1 program, he’s just not ACC caliber.

Plenty of ways...
1. He stays and Keatts actually gives him enough minutes to grow and adapt.
2. He could transfer to another school and get more minutes.
3. He could decide to play football.
4. State could hire a new coach that doesnt blame injuries for lack of success and utilizes the talent on the team.
I wouldn’t expect anything else from a Reidsville poster. We have a terrible coach (Keatts) in Raleigh so maybe that had something to do with his play and how he developed throughout the season.
All of Wolfpack nation wants Keatts gone. We just lost our superstar recruit Dillingham who just decommited over the weekend. Wolfpack men’s basketball is a train wreck.

Yes I saw that, and Boo was named the national athletic director of the year by the ncaa. Meanwhile our men’s basketball program is horrific and the Pack is struggling to even fill half the PNC. We need another Scott Wood and a big man because Manny Bates I don’t think will be back
To be honest brother, state will never be good in basketball. Hard to compete recruiting with UNC and DUKe. Julius hodge was by far my favorite player from state and I HATE STATE
NC State used to be the program decades ago in the ACC and they have won 2 national titles.....74 and 83....but they haven't been the same since Valvano was fired.................
Herb Sendek era wasn’t that bad in hindsight, but good luck getting a State fan to agree. But I think they’d give their left arm to get 5 NCAA appearances in a row like he had again these days.
Gottfried’s first couple years were promising—couple Sweet 16s—but couldn’t get his star recruits to stick around. I can’t even imagine how many he would have lost in the portal era.
