Big news coming (Palmieri leaving Mallard Creek for GA high school)

North Carolina has decided to quadruple all head and assistant football coaching supplements to make the pay somewhat competitive with other states.

As we all know it will be a nice bump in pay. How many years does he have in the NC system?

He's going to a school that went 7-3 in their 2nd year and is the largest school in Atlanta. They will be on ESPN in 1-2 seasons

He’s going to Denmark High School in Alpharetta Ga. Magnet School. Doubling his pay with a incredible football stipend.

2020: Big Dance Champions
2019: 7-3
2018: 5-5
Coach Mike Palmieri is going to flip this program completely around. Being that it is 2yrs old, he will be considered the founder of the program down the road. Might as well strike while the iron is hot.

Sophomore Aaron McLaughlin, who started at Class 5A power Buford for the past two seasons and holds scholarship offers from numerous high-major college programs, is now a student at Denmark and plans to join the Danes for the upcoming season. McLaughlin, a 6-foot-4 pro-style quarterback, helped lead the Wolves to a 21-5 overall record in 2017 and 2018 and reached at least the state quarterfinals each time. He was named honorable mention All-Region for Region 8-5A in 2018 and has received offers from Auburn, Michigan and USC, among others.

Big Shoes To Fill:
Now, who will be the next MC Coach.....someone already on staff or a brand new out of state face?

This is huge and I dont blame him 1 bit. Built that creek program from the ground up question is who leaves with him and who gets the job next. Talent wise top 3 school in the state and arguably top 50 in the country.

Until CMS and the nchsaa step it up were going to keep losing our top coaches to the southern states.

Guys it’s the people who are politicians in Raleigh. When a teacher starts out year one at 35K and 30 years later makes 52k people are going to leave. Now each county has supplements that can help make most money but NC coaches are no where close to
Making 100K a year

MC better hire someone very quick from either Booker T. Washington Senior High School or Miami Central.

I was told Scott Chadwick is currently foaming at the mouth........his program may just go from a that Super Charging 5-star to a 10-star.

Is it true Richard Bailey suppose to apply or no?

I think Bailey is close to being able to retire in NC, if he leaves SC it will most likely be out of state.
Good luck to coach Palmieri. Is he taking any of his staff with him?

Damn dude! You're always last getting new intel. Myers Park has lost numerous players, and word on the streets is Chadwick is out. Gotta believe Maye is looking at other opportunities.

The new head coach could be in the University Area right now. May not have to look far at all.

Hey - there has been a lot of talk about this hypothesis in Cumberland County.

What has Hough staff been doing for the last few weeks in Fayetteville?

If they do choose to stay in house, Tripp Stone & Coach Hellams would be the leading candidates. Those hires would make sense as the cultural won’t change much and the staff for the most part would stay intact. Sam Greiner is another local name that will be circulating. Very lucrative job opening.

I know this has nothing to do with this hire, but it was announced late last night that Ben Hampton at North Rowan is leaving to go to Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach. North Carolina is losing a very good young Coach.

He probably referring to Greiner to which I would say, doubtful.

Large amount of MC parents are college graduates with a lot of Dads who played on the collegiate level. A totally different culture than what he coached at Harding, and one of the reason's he had problems at Hickory Ridge. He'll probably get an interview, if he's interested. The Cowboy stuff wouldn't work at the Creek though.

You sure the Creek won't let him and his staff wear cutoff hoodies on the sidelines while his staff refers to him as "The Dragon"???
