Hard to pick for Clinton ill say

-Leonard Henry
-Willie Parker
-Herbert "2 Shot" Dixon
-Nick Cooper

Pick your poison all these guys were great in terms of overall success Willie takes the cake 2 Super Bowl rings, pro bowl selection, longest TD run in super bowl history

Herbert Dixon never got a chance to fulfill his true potential as he was killed in a nightclub shooting in 2004 after being selected as a all MEAC LB his freshmen(RS) year at NC A&T

Willie Parker
Herbert Dixon
Nic Cooper
Leonard Henry

All are great players. Willie, like DH34 said has had the most success long term, Nic Cooper has best stats in terms of rushing yards, Although Ryheem Skinner can surpass him with 3 2000yrd seasons in his career if he hits that this year, and Herbert "2shot" Dixon, was the meanest, hardest hitting, best overall player in my opinion. Nicest guy off the field, but one mean SOB on the field which made him who he was, my vote would be for him for overall best player in regards to all around play. RIP Herbert.

Adrian Wilson
JJ Mcqueen
Marquell Cartwright
Ted Brown
Johnny Evans
Sammy Little
Marucs Gilchrist
William Hayes

Distance might have one or two more. If I had to pick one it would be Evans or Wilson

Ted Brown
Tony Baker
Johnny Evans
Junior Robinson
Greg Jeffries
Danny Wagoner
Adrian Wilson
Marcus Gilchrist
William Hayes
JJ McQueen
Kenny Shaw
Marquell Cartwright
Freddie Aughtrey Lindsay
Tony Washington
Darius Brewington
Sammy Little

Man there's so many studs that have come through Andrews that aren't even on the list above. And some on the list above made it to the NFL and didn't play much until their senior year in high school.

Johnny Evans still the best to ever do it at the Drews. He led the state in most every offensive category and even was a ridiculous punter/kicker. Dude could do it all.

Trying to decide who's the best ever to come out of TWA is like trying to decide who the hottest Playboy model is.

Thank you for the kind words Chute. As you can imagine, we've had our share of knuckleheads through the years as well.

I'll say Andy Headen.
Chute Boxe, I was there when Headen was a senior. At the time best I had seen at school but again I have to put Alan Hooker in his class. Different styles but Hooker's teams had more success. And nobody could tackle him one on one. Got to throw Scott Riddle in too for team success and what he accomplished at Elon.

For West Henderson, that'd be Mickey Marvin.

He played 10 seasons in the NFL, started at guard 108 games for the Raiders, winning 2 Super Bowls.

There would be a lot of people that would claim mickey marvin for brevard since that's where he graduated.

I played against Parker. So I'm going to say Fast Willie was the best player to ever play at Clinton

Newton Conover
Curt Dukes Nebraska QB
Duante Finger UNC TE
Ladoux Wilson HB
Scott and Heath Woods OL NC state and South Carolina
Antonio Lyerly Mars Hill College 2 sport college athlete
Marcus Shuford LR
Octavius Harden Wofford
This List is tough and some Newton Faithfuls may disagree. Help me if I missed any Thanks !

Trooer that is a good list for Newton Conover, but there are more and I would hate to choose the best. I will add a couple names to your list.

D. McCorkle
Butch Baker
Mike Baker
Curtis Burgins
Frasier Williamson
Gary Robinson
Tracy Coulter
Nathan Bowie
Tony Pope
Jordan Gibbs
Tevin James

There more that deserves to be considered, but my mind is drawing a blank on some names.

I'll add Brian Sullivan. Toughest kid I ever seen play at Newton. Started at middle linebacker and fullback. Hurt a lot of opponents. Took a different path. While a player at Lenoir-Rhyne University he finished top of his class and is now a medical doctor.

Sullivan was tough as they come. Would add John Rabold to the list as well. Played QB and safety at NC, but became a very good outside linebacker at the Air Force Academy. If not for service time agreement, most likely would have got his chance in the NFL
