Good question. I just seen it earlier off AL Brown football site.

Starting my 39th year on the AL Brown chain crew. I for one am glad they changed it. I didn't want to stand out in the rain for 2 hours.

my guess would be, the rain and temperature it’s suppose to be 40 around kickoff. Why play it on Friday when it is supposed to be nice Thursday.

I feel it for the Statesville Greyhounds. Making the trip up to Mitchell Co. this Friday. Temps in the 30s with cold rain. Possibly see some snow or ice. I been up in that area. Let me you tell that wind will cut right through you. If the stands were fully open and I was a Greyhound fan. I would pass on that trip. Lol

Teams in the mountains often play in that weather and never seem to have problems.

Maybe in November but not in February. I’m guessing it is colder now then in November.
