All-WNC teams released

Kinda strange that Robbinsville didn't have any honorable mention yet Rosman Murphy and Swain did..Would that be left up to the Robbinsville Coaches?

How many players did each of the teams have on each team and the honorable mention?

I could only wish that my former high school was so successful that after a 15-0 season, winning their 14th state championship and beating their arch rival twice in the same season, that somebody would have the audacity to complain about the All-WNC award selections in the ACT, which has notoriously shatty local sports coverage anyways... Lol. I'm just messin'. I get it though, there's nothing else to do out there. My fams gotta place on Fontana, but I often find myself at Santeelah. Got a couple of friends I've met or played with over the years from out that way. Some of the best ppl in the world. Congrats again on constantly being the goal that others want to achieve.

Can you break it down by team, ie first team, second, honorable mention.

Wish their paper allowed a visitor to have a few free views a month. I think that can actually help a paper.
Coach of the Year
Dee Walsh, Robbinsville

Walsh led the Black Knights to a 1A state title and a perfect 15-0 record which included a Smoky Mountain title. It was Robbinsville's 14th state title and the second for Walsh, who won his first in 2014. The Black Knights dominated Northampton County 45-14 in the state final.

Offensive Player of the Year
Noah Pitman, Mitchell, Sr.

Pitman led his team to the 1AA West region final and put up video game numbers during his senior season. The quarterback finished with 1,619 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on 150 attempts while passing for 1,672 yards and 23 touchdowns. Pitman was the only player in WNC to surpass 1,000 yards in passing and rushing. He finished with 3,291 total yards and 47 touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Year
Marc Golden, Reynolds, Jr.

Golden was the catalyst for a Reynolds defense that gave up only 40 points in eight conference games during the 2019 season. The senior led the team with 184 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss and was named the Western Mountain Athletic Conference defensive player of the year. The Rockets outscored their conference opponents 411-40 and advanced to the third round of the NCHSAA 3A playoffs.

Polk County coach Bruce Ollis named Weaver as one of the best young players he's ever coached. As a freshman, Weaver was second on the team with 123 tackles, three sacks, 15 tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery. These all star teams need to have a “utility” or “flex” player for a player that plays both sides of the ball or multiple positions.
