During the Season there isn't as long a period of not so interesting games. We have Thomasville, Concord and then two weeks later East Montgomery. Later We have West Montgomery and North Moore back to back

Yeah, this schedule is pretty legit. Still I wish the other county teams were strong like back in the late 90's and early 2000s for better competition. All county games used to be jam packed back in the day. Hopefully we can get back to those days.

We are going to smash WS,SS, and NS this year....

Next year. North Stanly will be tremendously good with the right coach.

BK, You have got to come to Albemarle. Swain and Murphy have been here. Murphy has got Their tickets to the Championship 2 times coming to Albemarle. I hope that don't happen this year. The SMC looks like as tough a Conference as ever this year

I'm glad that Thomasville and Albemarle are playing each other once again. I saw Thomasville play last year and I thought they were slow and not physically strong, but I also a lot of potential for them to improve.

Albemarle should win this game by a couple of TD's, but don't be surprised if Thomasville hangs around for a half. I do believe that Thomasville won't be a pushover.

Right now I see Albemarle going 9-2 in the regular season. East Montgomery might have something to say about this, and so might North Moore, but Albemarle should be favored by a couple of TD's in both games.

It's surprising how two top notch FB programs are down on their knees. I thought that I would never see the day where Albemarle and T-Ville was no longer competitive. I just hope we both can return to our glory days and remind everyone the reason why we have 5 SC and they have 8....and being the only ones in the YVC with this title (cough, cough).

It will. I feel like Albemarle wouldn't have been the program They was without Thomasville Between 2001 and 2003. Sway You was in School with a lot of Our Football Heros

I was there in the era of T.A. I remember watching Tory and my older cousin Flake run when I was in middle school. Those were great years. The 96' team I believe should have won a SC but got cheated in Starmount. When I was in my senior year, that's when Potts and Davis started to break out. And you have the Davis bothers as DB's. DL was stout, OL was stout, and QB was excellent. The 2009-2010 teams couldn't hold a torch to those teams, even though they won a SC.

This teams wants to win. They are not used to being in second or third place from the talks I had with some. This is a new experience for us all.

I wish the new coaches and athletes the best in the upcoming season.

If you are talking about Tory Rushing I used to love to watch him play. Pound for pound he was as good of a running back as I can remember playing at Albemarle.

He was good on the cut, but not as strong or fast as T.A. Both had different styles of running.

Tory was quick, could stop on a dime and accelerate, but didn't have top end speed, his quickness made him look fast.

T.A. was a power runner with 4.4 speed (at the most), but had enough faness to maneuver his body unlike I have ever seen with a guy his size and good vision.

I used to love seeing both Play. but in my opinion, T.A. was by far the best. Not only because he broke records, but I believe he could have played on that team any day and still put up the same numbers.

I don't care what BD Says, We aren't only talking about the past. Albemarle manufactures Athletes We have really good Running backs coming back this year

We will be good, but not good enough to beat WM unfortunately. I stated last year, it will take Albemarle 2 years to get its groove back. This is year one. I expect Albemarle to demolish everyone next year in the conference.

Also I heard that our two-platoon system is not out of the question this year. The way we have our offense set up, it may be possible...

I could care less about what BD DB or ABC says about Albemarle.

What two teams do you see Robbinsville losing to?

To be honest I could see us losing 3 with a small chance of losing 4. But I think we will be the favorite in all games except Charlotte County Day and Maybe, just maybe Swain. But, it is at Rville and also We only play 10 games so we will not be able to drop a loss. So if we loss 2 and Ablemarle losses two then Rville will travel. Thats okay we travel really well.

@BK13T-$ Charlotte Country Day isn't that good. I wouldn't be surprised if you win that one. Now if you played Davidson Day or Latin, then we're talking different.

I don't see Albemarle Making past the Third round. We will run into Murphy when that happens, and I don't think we're quite prepared to take them on. If we had a coaching staff with the 2011-2012 teams, we would have won more SC. 2013, Murphy was on another level.

But I hope to see you guys in the 3rd or 4th, however the chips may fall. That will be the third team from the SMC that Albemarle will have a wack at.

County Day not good? They only lost to Weddington by 3 last year and they almost made the 3a state title game. They play D.Day close most years and win alot.

In 2010 County day won the Title not 2008. That was just 5 years ago. In 2012 the went 7-2 and beat D.Day 56-15. In 2013 C.Day only lost by 7 to D.Day. Remember what D.Day did to Albemarle that year. And C.Day only lost to Charlotte Catholic by 1 in 2013. In 2014 C.Day lost to D.Day by 4 and to weddington by 3. Asheville lost to Weddington by 4 in 2014. Dont play lawyer ball with me......


County day will be the toughest team any SMC team plays this year.;




On another note. I hope to meet some of you guys if Albemarle gets past Murphy.

Defense should be pretty good this year. On offense we will have to replace the whole line.We should be good but you never know with young kids.

They most likely would have been the 1A state champion last year and made a hard drive in 2A if you are gauging how good they are. They do not beat themselves and have some very good robo athletes and a few really good skill players. Very good line play and will throw the ball. Always excellent specialist.

Christian is the best private school team in the state and was one of the best teams in NC last year. A lot of talent and there is great coaching at all the privates. Charlotte private school football is really good just ask Fedora, Cutcliffe, and Doren.
