Albemarle at Thomasville...

Haven’t seen either team, but hope it’s a good, clean, hard-fought game with no injuries.

A word of apology to the visiting fans to Cushwa this year. There are two sections of the concrete bleachers that have developed problems. To ensure safety, those two areas won’t be used this season. Many know that the visiting side was once the home side, and is one of the largest visitors’ sections in the conference. It won’t have a big effect in most games, but if the visiting team packs them in, it might be tight. It will have to be corrected in the offseason.

Well, considering the way the red dogs have played over the last while, I hope for some improvements. If nothing else to start with, better discipline, fundamentals and hard work. If the new coach is good as I’ve read here, and stays a while, thing may have a chance to finally start looking up for these kids.

The time has come. Good luck Red Dogs. For those who may come early and may want to eat somewhere besides Cushwa, you can come to Tommy’s Barbecue. It’s very close to the stadium just down Culbreth Ave. to National Highway, turn right and it just on the right. Have a safe trip.

How has Thomasville looked the past few seasons? Have they lost a lot of players or something?

Like most schools, the numbers are down. Discipline issues have been up. Community support has been down. Hopefully, all of this will change under Coach Robertson. Though there may be some short term pain in terms of numbers and wins. But if he is successful in reviving the culture, everything else will take care of itself.
I believe in him.

I really hope the red dogs can compete tonight. They seem real young but they have loads of potential. This coach seems to be the real deal in practice and during the scrimmage but tonight is the real test and I’m thoroughly enjoyed to witness what he has in store!!

This spread kind of offense still concerns me,even though it's more of a run first offense,I guess I'm just having flashbacks of the last time a coach tried it here

Oh yeah most definitely going to be an adjustment for me to get used to because I prefer the old style of strong defense and a ground and pound run game. This coach does look like he keeps his players in shape and manages the game well which is a welcome sight. I’m just ready for tonight to see how he and the players respond and feed off of each other.

Lol...wow.

Bootleg with 3 minuets left in the 4th: interception

Trips right, catches the ball on the 5 yard line...every running back gettin 8 yards a carry and we throw...

Good game T-Ville.

I’m good luv enjoy..

Ugly game, but a wins a win...lots of work to do in all phases...#17 and 7 on tville defense played great with interceptions and pass break ups...,both teams had chances, but penalties and turnovers killed drives, good luck to the Blue Dogs the rest of the way

It was ugly but I was impressed with the defense of the red dogs. Very fast to the ball and played with heart. Size is their weakness but this ball club is a lot better than last years! Good things are coming from Thomasville! One other question I have is the fight song. I wasn’t there for the beginning of the game so I’m not sure if it was played at the beginning but when we scored it was not played and it was not played at the end of the game. Please tell me they haven’t abandoned it.

I am very pleased with what I saw tonight, considering I need new glasses. I do not think my unofficial stats are really close enough to post. Thanks to all of the younger Red Dog Fans for helping me get numbers.

Each quarter, we improved. I felt a great positive energy happening at Cushwa tonight. Continued hard work will pay huge dividends in the future.

Head Coach Doug Robertson 1-0!

All the best to the Blue Dogs, your D-line is solid.

Go Dogs!

Congrats to T-Ville on the win!!

Hey guys just wondering if Warren still comes to the games and has the large Thomasville flag??
Warren does go to most games, though he’s unable to prowl the sidelines and wave the flag. At 77, “Zeke” does his coaching from the row just inside the entrance and is as vocal as ever.

For those games that are a significant distance from home, he sometimes attends the home jayvee game on Thursday. But he much prefers the varsity games. He had to miss the opener due to some eye surgery on Wednesday. But he’ll be back in full force this Friday against WM.

Kudos to AD Steve Bare and some of the conference athletic directors who allow Warren to be driven right up to the stands on the visitors’ side. Wheatmore, East Davidson and Salisbury have been especially helpful.

Thanks for asking. He’s Mr. Thomasville, for sure. Between him and our 103 year old clock operator, Casey Medlin, they have over 120 years of supporting the Bulldogs.
