NewACR 45 Watauga 43. ACR kicks fg with less than 5 secs left. We rush the field and get two 15 yd flags for celebration. ( don't know how that happens). We kick from our own 3 and then tackle the return man. Game over. ACR tackling was god awful tonight. Can someone tell me how you get two celebration flags on one celebration.

Anyway. ACR I am sure will have some tackling drills on Monday.

Couple things, first Watauga never made that 2 point conversion, the runner fumbled when he was hit at the two, ball went 5 yards deep in end zone and ACR recovered. All of this is on film I witnessed it from the sidelines down on the goal line as well. The runner never had the ball after the 2 yard line. Secondly the clock operator did not start the clock at all on the 41 yard FG. Watauga called time to "ice" the kicker with 5.3 seconds, so if the clock runs from the moment it's snapped until the ref signals the kick good that would have taken the remainder of the time so the celebration penalty would not have been an issue. The official AFTER he sees the time has not run, then decided that the whole FG play took a total of .8 of a second (yes that's right eight tenths of a second for a 41 yard FG) and put the clock at 4.5 for the kickoff. AMAZING!!!!! and finally, yes we need to learn to tackle better!

You do realize the clock operator belongs to ACR.
Yes I do realize that, doesn't make it right that he clock didn't start, it could have been a malfunction for all we know. My point is shouldn't an official realize the play takes more then .8 of a second to run for a 41 yard FG? I don't have an issue with putting time back on the clock of need be, but to adjust the clock .8 of a second is crazy! If the clock had run, more then likely the game is over, I've seen it happen in college and pros alike, 40+ yards with human element of clock running its game over. Our operator may have made the mistake but officials should keep the time on the field as well.

i wasnt on th goal line but it looked to me like the kid didnt get close on the 2 point atempt either. the 37 yards in penalties for celebrating after the field goal is just mind boggling. how was that figured out? anyway hats off to watauga they played a heck of a game. their qb was very deceiving and very fast. thats a big physical team. reminded me of those asheville teams that lined up n just ran the ball down ur throat. and yes our tackling was awful... nonexistent at times. but give them sum credit for hard running and very determined ball carriers too. i was proud our guys stuck with it and never gave up either. it was a great game to watch no doubt. but the 2 point play shouldnt have counted in my opinion. and after our field goal things just got bizzare.

Maybe they decided if Reynolds' staff is too stupid to run the clock, why bail them out? Self inflicted wounds hurt the most.

Typical Reynolds, even when you win you can't keep from bitching about somebody else being at fault.

Bluevols, thanks for your opinion. I am glad we could give you something to talk about. Typical Vols fan. Gotta talk about someone else's team because yours has been relevant in years.

If it's a clock malfunction HOW can it be the staffs fault? You know sometimes things aren't always human error, I wasn't in the press box but it seemed to me it took a lot of time for the clock to be fixed and it even went to all zeros on the board like it was being reset. I'm not complaining I was simply asking how a 40+ yard kick only took .8 seconds. No matter if the clock runs or not the officials are suppose to do their jobs and figure out a respectable time to put on the clock that's all I'm saying.

Would sure like to hear from Watauga folks on this one . Either way, ACR is struggling to play Watauga so close... period.

Just fortunate Watauga and ACR both played hard ball. Proud of the Pioneers effort last night. Great game to ACR, well deserved.

The biggest thing last night was the fact that both teams played their guts out. ACR really needs to tackle better. The tackling this year is just not very good. My hats off to Watauga though. They were prepared with a game plan and were good at it. I also thought our d line got pushed back into our linebackers too much.

. I will say ACR is not as gifted as teams of the past but the guys are working hard. They need to get better every week. Conference play is coming up.

Flame on, patsfball, flame on.
Flame on, bluevols, flame on.

typical remark from an idiot vols fan . and yea i was bitchin . i have that right .win lose or draw i congratulated watauga because they played their guts out just like we did. i just hate to see bad officiating . and to say acr is struggling just because this game was so close . thats just nonsense watauga is a very good football tean in my opinion. i dont think theyre going to get beat by a lot of teams . all the respect to them and their coaches. we were lucky to win no doubt. and ill bitch about the officials when and wherever its justified

wow arent we touchy whose the real bitch here lol its not worth arguing over still i havent heard a good explanation for the 33 yard penalty for celebrating.

Speaking of Watauga.... 2015 graduate Elijah Temple recently walked on
at Liberty University as a CB and is now on the roster. This makes 3
from Watauga's 2015 class that are playing DI this year!

who is ur team volsfan? u seem awful upset with acr. we wear our colors proud n loud.good luck to the rockets tonight out at hendersonville.
