4th round predictions

Clinton 35 Bunn 21
Monroe 42 East Lincoln 35

SWE 24 Kinston 14
Shelby 38 Lincolnton 31

2AA West Monroe 28 East Lincoln 17
2AA East Bunn 31 Clinton 24

2A West Shelby 24 Lincolnton 16
2A East SWE 32 Kinston 21

Don't know much about eastern teams.

First let me say I am not criticizing your picks just merely have a question. If you don't know much about the eastern teams, we know you at least recognize the Clinton name, so what made you decide to pick Bunn, Clinton I believe if not mistaken has accomplished way more than Bunn. So I'm just curious why you chose Bunn. Again I'm not criticizing nor making it a bid deal, was just curious, especially after I read you don't know much about Eastern teams.

As an example to my point. I don't know alot about the Western teams far from Shelby and Lincolnton, and East Lincoln because of Surratt (Tar Heel) so when choosing I would've gone with Shelby since my knowledge about the west is so limited just merely on Pedigree and the name, and E Lincoln mainly because I have never hear much about Monroe. That's all I was getting to, was to see what your logic was behind the pick.

Just went with the better seed. Both teams have the same record. I don't know their opponents. I think it's an upset if Bunn wins despite the seeding just off Clinton's history. In 2A I picked SWE even though they are the worse seed, I know Kinston is coming of a close win against a great HPA team and sometimes teams can have a let down after games like that. I really don't know anything about them. Just what I see on schedules. Which doesn't help much. Don't know the teams. No one knows until the games are played.

Clinton beat HPA... Kinston beat Northeastern

Any word on the coaching front? Lowery will be hard to replace..... He had a great run down there

All good man, Bunn very well could beat us. We have to play sound football for sure.

Sorry, I got it bass ackards. Lol Clinton coming off a big win against HPA could have a let down. Duh. I'm getting old. My brain function is slowly dying. No word on a new coach at FH. The opening was open until December 2nd. I really hope they go outside and find a proven guy. I think if they promote a long time assistant we'll stay in the rut we're in now. We have had tons of talent that has fallen way short of its potential every year. I liked Lowery but something has been missing for awhile. They need a wholesale change.

Wiz is correct ! Never know how kids will react ! We all have a tough road to travel this Friday!!!! Should be some darn good ball games !!!

Good luck gang

I don't know much about the west teams, so I'm not going to predict the west.

SWE 42 KINSTON 32
BUNN 21 CLINTON 20

I picked SWE because that Williams kid is red hot right now. And seeing Kinston in action, the defense is there but their offense doesn't do it for me.

I picked Bunn because they are super tough at home. I know the Dark horses name well, but Willie Parker, Fuzzy Lee nor Nick Cooper will be suiting up Friday...but it will be a close one.

Nope but Raheem Skinner will and by career end he will have more all time rushing yards at Clinton than any of those guys. With Way less carries I would imagine as well.

I agree with DH04 Ryheem skinner by the time he graduates will be Clinton's all time leading rusher so no none of those greats from the past will be suiting up but Skinner will be and with Rayquan Faison and company I see a Clinton victory coming just gotta play Dark Horse football

We shall see. A few posters knock the playoff history of Bunn, and they have a point. But the way I see it, Bunn dominates their conference, advance into the later rounds, then go on the road and lose. Playing this late at home will make a huge difference imo. It's a hostile environment, and though I'm not a fan, they do take their football as serious as Clinton imo. Not to mention that Clinton is coming off that HUGE win last week....maybe an emotional letdown looming?? But best of luck to Clinton and safe travels.

I played in that stadium in a playoff game in 2006 unless things have change didnt seem to immediating but playing at home does count but this Bunn team struggled to put East Duplin away....Lewis has Clinton playing some solid ball right now peaking at the right time with everything that's on the line I don't see a emotional let down at least I hope not

Letdown? There's nothing for the DarkHorses to have a letdown about. They just beat another team in the playoffs and advanced. They've got to play their game. The prize can be seen and almost within grasp. How could anyone have a letdown with that insight? They will play their butts off because they have to!

Ok, letdown was the wrong word or you took it the wrong way? How about exhausted? They played their butts off and things like that do happen...though I know you don't want to hear that, I wouldn't either. When you dealing with youth and not machines or pro athletes that get paid, nothing would surprise me. I gave my reasons why I predicted Bunn, and if this were Vegas, I'd place a few dollars on it.

Be glad you're not in Vegas, you may need your money for Christmas!
Exhausted? This is the 15th week if the season, if they're not in shape now to go the distance they won't ever be. I know they're in shape, with plenty of octane left the tank. Coach Lewis is a expert coaching a team during these times. Rest assure he's got the reins on these Horses and they will play their hearts out!

Last time Clinton strolled into Bunn, Bunn had Kerry Neal who went to Notre Dame, and another kid that went to Penn State. Nic Cooper, and Earl Kemp ran all over them boys, and the Visitor side stands were so packed with DH fans. Now that I've said that, this is a different team and a different year, but I still expect the fans to pack it out, I still expect to be able to run the ball (with new guys of course) but a win is not a lock by no means, Bunn I hear has a great back who has even more yards than Skinner does, so it will be a tough game, Best of luck to Bunn, but we are coming. See you Friday.

Bunn has in the past, had one or two over hyped athletes that got major press. I say over hype because when my stepson played against them, they seemed like normal athletes. Then they got to college and disappeared. ...except Neal, he had a decent career. But this year, we really didn't see that. The Perry kid is good, but they haven't hyped him up like previous kids. So I do see a difference in this team and past Bunn teams. Should be a good game!

Clinton wins by 10 over Bunn. Going to HPA and winning builds amazing confidence.
SWE wins by 10.

We shall see...

Nice article on Clinton's Rayquan Faison in the Fayetteville observer today check it out
