Richmond always had huge crowds in their championship years. Most recently I remember the years that Davie County and Scotland filled the lower section at BB&T Field at Wake Forest. They had to open up the seating above the entrances in some sections.
It was at Wake
but Catholic vs Northern Guilford had a great crowd!Nothing beats the Scotland crowd in 2011 though
Richmond County vs Garner at Chapel Hill in 98 was the largest crowd I have ever seen at a Championship Game ...Richmond won something like 40-7...

All gold baby.....Usually Green and Gold, but Sr players wanted to wear all GOLD...Turned out to be a great choice...As I remember Garner scored first , then the Raiders rolled them over ...Marcus Ellerbe rushed for 198 , I think , and the coaches took him out, not knowing he was a few yards from breaking the rushing record ...OH WELL.....nuff said
