No. Lenoir used to be recognized as such. When crossing the county line from Burke County, a sign greeted you as entering the furniture capital. Broyhill, Bernhardt, Kincaid, etc, etc. ALL started in Caldwell County.
I really don't see this game being close. I think Shelby runs away from North Davidson. The Gold Lions add another trophy to the trophy case.
Putting up a sign doesn't make it so. Burke County, Catawba County,Davidson County and High Point can make similar claims. Thomasville Furniture, Lexington Furniture, Henredon, Drexel Heritage, Hickory Chair, Hickory Furniture, E.J. Victor. All major players and as large as those you mentioned.
But High Point is where all of them show their product and many had corporate headquarters.
Kinda like Reidsville getting a local legislative bill to make them the football capital. Lots of folks can make that claim.

I don't know who it may be, have been thinking that it was someone close, for some reason they have it out for ND and anyone remotely associated. I just shut down on it, just don't have the interest in going back and forth, especially on a message board.
