2AA Games to Watch

Thoughts and opinions....keep it civil!!

Northside-Jax (8-3) @ Randleman (8-3) - The Monarchs have a long trip to Randolph county but I believe this could be the marquee matchup on this side of the bracket.

Franklin (6-5) @ Cramer (7-4) - Franklin has tradition on their side and they play a tough brand of football up there. Cramer is looking for a signature playoff win and winning over the Panthers would be a good start for a fairly new program

I think Franklin wins this one. Franklin doesnt have that great of a schedule but I respect it more than SC

Don't know anything about SC. Franklin is run heavy again this year. We do have a 6'5 QB who can actually throw and some decent wide outs (one injured) who can catch. Look for Coach Brooks to pound the rock on O. We are pretty tough vs the run on D & pretty weak vs the pass especially vs spread teams. We're young & have some key injuries. Can someone fill me in on SC O & D?

Agree on Northside Deanna, I think they beat Randleman. The three teams they have lost to have a combined record of 31-2.

Will be very surprised northside not in second round not knowledgeable of Randleman but very familiar with those boys from jacksonville not a good draw for any team in the 1st round

Cramer can pull this one out but I think Franklin will just barely win ecspecially if it's at Franklin. (I'm too lazy to look.)

Honestly think Franklin will run right through Cramer. Northside vs. Randleman si probably the best matchup in 2AA on paper. Don't forget about the Mount Pleasant vs Maiden game...another good one.

I think we can all agree, a run heavy team out of the I or variations of the I is alot different then the deceptive look of the double wing. SC has a fairly stout D. They held south point to low numbers in the first half until the turnovers came in the second quarter and it took the wind out of them. Don't know much about Franklin but I like SC in this one. But celebration for the winner no matter who it is will be short lived as the winner has to travel to shelby. Good luck to both schools

Agree Deanna on the game....I am sure Northside will be favored , but do not count the Tigers out. They have a heck of
a coach in Shane Handy and staff , and they have a QB that
can really throw and a Tailback well over 1000 yds. The wide outs are fast and all have good hands.... If the defense steps up , it will be interesting.... Not putting down the boys from the east , just saying I don't think it will be a walk in the park.....Should be an entertaining game....A home crowd will be waiting.........
