Randleman vs East Duplin: a rematch from two years ago, Randleman will be looking for vengeance from the last encounter.

Currituck vs South Granville: i know nothing of Currituck but SG used the option really well from what I saw a couple years ago.

North Davidson vs Hertford County: long trip for the Knights to face a fast team they must keep contained.

Salisbury vs Washington: I know nothing about Washington but Salisbury has the best defense I saw all year.

Looks like both games in that part of the bracket were a battle of who made fewer mistakes....three second half turnovers did in St. Pauls....Currituck plays South Granville, who overcame two 1st quarter turnovers, to force two others of their own, including two 4th quarter interceptions...hoping for a cleaner game this Friday between the Knights and Vikings

Think your right, I'm pulling for Currituck obviously but I think their road to the ship ends Friday. Coach Bossi has that program headed in the right direction in his second yr but it's going to take some time. There are a lot of good athletes out of Currituck County. Their Volleyball and Softball teams have both won State Cship's in recent yrs and their wrestling program is very good as well. They will be a force in coming years just like Hertford County.

Yes, we at South Granville know all about Currituck in volleyball....lost there in 3rd Rd in Fall 2016, 4th Rd in Fall 2017, 4th Rd in Fall 2018...did beat them at our place in 2nd Rd back in one of the years in between 2012-2015; can't remember which one....just glad we passed Currituck in adjusted maxpreps rankings to be hosting this game, of course I enjoy the long trips, especially to places I know, and as a Gates Co. originally, I've been to Currituck many times, most recently for football in Fall 1998 when we missed a tackle in backfield on first snap, let RB go 70ish yards for 7-0 lead with about 11:40 to go in 1st quarter, and went on to lose 7-0, oh wait, I was home for the weekend in college in 2002 and saw the Barons win there 56-14 with running clock most of 2nd half
