N.Davidson 8-1 over Tuscola. Went to this one. Tuscola started the game with a leadoff HR. Nelson started for Tuscola and didn’t last as long as they were hoping into the 4th, once he wained ND beat him up with 2HRs in one inning and balk call kind of sucked the life from Tuscola. ND seems to be a team that’s “feelin’ it” at the right time of year.

Wow what a game for NL and East Rowan. ER had a magical season that ended. This game will go in the books as a classic. Congratulations to North Lincoln and wish them the best. ER was in a rebuilding season and will be back strong next year.

AI says that in the regional finals the higher seed hosts the first two games and then any third game needed in a series is at the lower seed. I thought it was home-away-home. Does anyone know how it works? Thanks.

Higher seed at home first then lower seed and the if necessary game at the higher seed

That was a great game to go into 8 innings. I hated to see West Forsyth to come out on short end. They had a great season for sure.

WF has a strong baseball program but can never seem to take that next step. Have they even made a state championship finals series? I get that baseball can be flukey more than any other sport - see it all the time where very low seeds beat a much higher seed. And it is hard to get to a state finals much less win it all. But they have had a lot of talent in Clemmons over the years and it is a shame they never seem to take that next step.

One consistent beef I have with the association is that they always wait until the very last moment to get playoff schedules out there.
There are some baseball and/or softball regionals that I'd like to attend, but, as of right now, everything on MaxPreps says "Date TBA". I've got some scheduling decisions to make so I can attend, but there is no sense of urgency from the NCHSAA. It's maddening and they do it all the time.

The default format for regionals is Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Coaches will call each other and set the playing dates for the week. NCHSAA leaves it up to the coaches to set their 3 days. IF they can't come to a mutual decision, then it defaults to the Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
